Chapter 98 - Chapter 98, Shi Jue, don't tell me you've fallen in love with me!

Shi Jue looked calm and peaceful as he slept. He no longer gave off a dark and intimidating aura. He looked like a gentle person.

Dark circles appeared around his eyes.

It seemed he had been feeling exhausted lately.

While on the hospital bed, Xia Weiyang carefully stared at Shi Jue. She tried to understand Shi Jue's relationship with her.

Sometimes, she felt that Shi Jue liked her and deeply cared about her. However, in an instant, Shi Jue would act like a heartless person and treat her coldly.

Fortunately for her, she did not like him.

If they ended up together, they would probably argue a lot.

Xia Weiyang gave up trying to figure out Shi Jue's thoughts. It was too complicated for her.

She then got up from the bed and found a piece of clothing on a nearby table. She covered Shi Jue's body with the piece of clothing and went back to bed.

Just as Xia Weiyang was about to fell asleep, Shi Jue, who was supposed to be sleeping soundly, opened his eyes.

He lowered his head and looked at the piece of clothing draped over his body. He then looked at Xia Weiyang. The corners of his lips curled up slightly.

It was a new day at the hospital.

It was quiet inside the ward that morning.

Xia Weiyang was on an IV drip. Shi Jue sat by the window as he handled business matters.

The warm sunlight shone on Shi Jue's body. Xia Weiyang was lost in her thoughts for a moment.

Both of them were quiet as they attended to their own matters inside the ward.

Suddenly, a beautiful ringtone rang out.

Xia Weiyang immediately picked up her phone.

"Xia Weiyang, are you free today?" a woman on the other end of the call said.

Xia Weiyang glanced at Shi Jue before responding. "Yes, I am. Is there something going on at the company?"

"Yes. A client visited the company earlier. She saw your previous works and likes your style. She insisted that you design her gown. She's coming back to the office later this afternoon. So, if you're free, come to the office so you can meet her," the woman said.

"Okay, I got it. I'll come by this afternoon." After hanging up the phone, Xia Weiyang inadvertently raised her head and met Shi Jue's angry eyes.

"Xia Weiyang! It seems like you've forgotten what I said last night. Do you want me to help you remember it?" Shi Jue's face was tense as he gnashed his teeth.

He felt like Xia Weiyang was intentionally provoking him every day.

"As long as I finish the drip and my fever subsides, I'll be fine. Besides, it's not like I'm not coming back here," Xia Weiyang said with a frown on her face.

"Stop reasoning with me! Is your work more important than your health?" Shi Jue said.

"Both are important!" Xia Weiyang said decisively.

Xia Weiyang knew that if she stopped working, she would not have enough money to support her child and live a comfortable life.

Shi Jue became so angry that he almost couldn't catch his breath.

"You're not allowed to go!" Shi Jue sternly said.

Xia Weiyang raised her eyes and scanned Shi Jue from head to toe. Shi Jue felt goosebumps all over his body. "Shi Jue, you're not in love with me, are you? Otherwise, why would you be so strict with me?"

"You're delusional! I'm just being strict because I only feel sorry for you!" Shi Jue said with a gloomy face. He then lowered his head and ignored Xia Weiyang.

She was giving him such a hard time.

He knew that he couldn't stop her from leaving the hospital.

Even if they continued to argue, she would still leave.

Xia Weiyang looked at Shi jue, who had stopped fighting, and blinked her eyes.

After eating lunch, Xia Weiyang left the hospital.

Shi Jue's face darkened as he watched Xia Weiyang leave. He was so mad that he snapped the pen he was holding in half.

After a while, Shi Jue took out his phone and made a call.

"Mo Yi, I want you to follow Xia Weiyang to make sure that she's safe," he said. "Don't let her see you."
