Xia Weiyang's expression did not change as she slowly walked in. "I went out to get some fresh air. It's good for the baby." As she sat beside Shi Jue's bed, she picked up an apple and started peeling it.
Shi Jue frowned. He felt that Xia Weiyang was not her usual self.
However, he could not explain why she was acting differently.
As his gaze fell on Xia Weiyang's slightly bulging stomach, Shi Jue started to feel much better.
There was a child in her stomach. It was his child.
He had never thought that he would have his own child. After all, he had a hard time touching women.
Shi Jue started to feel really happy.
"Here." Xia Weiyang handed a bamboo stick to Shi Jue after slicing the apple into small pieces.
After staring at the bamboo stick in front of him, Shi Jue looked at Xia Weiyang again. "You're acting strange today," Shi Jue said as he frowned.
Xia Weiyang tried to remain calm as her heart skipped a beat. "What makes you say that? Do you prefer that I always look miserable because of how you treat me every day?"
Xia Weiyang's answer made sense to Shi Jue. He was probably not used to seeing her being quiet.
After eating a couple of apple slices, Shi Jue glanced at Xia Weiyang with an annoyed expression on his face. "I want to take a shower," he said as he raised his eyebrows. "I can't do it alone."
Shi Jue meant that he wanted Xia Weiyang to give him a bath.
Xia Weiyang clenched her fists and suppressed the anger she felt in her heart. She wanted to scream at him.
However, she decided to remain quiet and endure what was about to happen next.
She reminded herself that this would be the last time that she would follow Shi Jue's orders.
"Okay," Xia Weiyang said with a faint smile on her lips. She then stood up and walked towards the bathroom.
Shi Jue expected Xia Weiyang to protest and disobey him. He was surprised that she diligently followed his command.
Shi Jue did not need Xia Weiyang's help to take a bath. Since his body had already started to heal, he was already capable of doing things by himself. As long as he was careful and didn't let his right arm touch the water, he would be fine.
However, he felt like teasing Xia Weiyang that day. He tried to look as helpless as he could be as she prepared to give him a bath.
Xia Weiyang came out of the bathroom with a basin filled with warm water.
Every time Xia Weiyang gave Shi Jue a bath in the hospital, she would only use a wet towel. Then, as soon as he was alone, Shi Jue would take a proper bath inside the bathroom.
This allowed Shi Jue to clean his body properly.
Xia Weiyang never knew that Shi Jue was already capable of taking care of himself.
Xia Weiyang took off Shi Jue's clothes and started washing his body. Even though she had already seen his body, she was still impressed by his muscular physique.
As expected, he had a good figure.
Lying down like a master, Shi Jue squinted his eyes and looked at Xia Weiyang. As he felt her soft hands against his skin, his heart started pounding.
He tried to control himself by taking a deep breath.
Cleaning his upper body was easy. However, washing his lower body was very difficult for Xia Weiyang.
After taking a deep breath, she quickly took off Shi Jue's pants. Although she tried her best not to look at his private part as she hurriedly cleaned his lower body, she could still see it from the corner of her eye.
"Be gentler! You're starting to hurt me with your hands," Shi Jue said as he exhaled heavily.
