Shi Jue walked to the side of Xia Weiyang's bed and slowly sat down. He carefully pulled down the quilt and lifted her clothes. He then proceeded to gently pour the medicine on Xia Weiyang's bruises.
Although she was alseep, Xia Weiyang felt the pain on her back. A frown slightly formed on her lips.
After seeing her reaction, Shi Jue became even more careful with his actions.
He stopped using the medicine after applying it evenly on Xia Weiyang's bruises.
He then glanced at her sleeping face, which looked quiet and calm.
Shi Jue looked like he was in a trance as he stared at her.
After a while, he eventually came back to his senses. The coldness in his eyes returned.
He got up and left Xia Weiyang's room without hesitation.
The next day.
Xia Weiyang woke up and noticed that the bruises on her body were no longer as painful as before.
Since they were only minor bruises, she thought they were already healing naturally.
She Jue always projected a cold demeanor. However, on that day, the ******* between him and Xia Weiyang was exceptionally high.
In the following days, Xia Weiyang did not say a single word to Shi Jue. Even when they were in the same room, they maintained a safe distance from one another. It was clear that the atmosphere between them was strange.
It was as if they were living in a bubble that no one could enter.
The weekend had arrived.
Xia Weiyang stood at the entrance of the amusement park and observed the other families there. The corners of her mouth twitched violently as she stared at Shi Jue, who was standing beside her.
He maintained a serious face as he stood domineeringly next to Xia Weiyang.
"Shi Jue, are you feeling alright? Is your brain working properly?" Xia Weiyang mockingly asked.
It was rare for her to speak first.
She had no idea that Shi Jue wanted to take her to the amusement park.
What were they doing there?
Did Shi Jue think Xia Weiyang would play at the park? He must be out of his mind.
After hearing Xia Weiyang's insulting question, Shi Jue's face darkened. He then glanced at her with a cold look.
Despite his expression, he actually felt a little regretful after arriving at the park.
Although he had already traveled to many places, he had never visited an amusement park before. He never went to one when he was a child. He had always despised amusement parks and viewed them as childish. On that day, however, something was quite different.
But, after seeing Xia Weiyang's reaction, Shi Jue was determined to spend the day at the amusement park.
With a sense of determination, Shi Jue braced himself and entered the park.
Xia Weiyang curled her lips as she watched Shi Jue walk away. She leaned on a nearby wall as he mindlessly strolled into the park.
After taking a few steps, Shi Jue realized that Xia Weiyang was not following him. He turned around and saw her leisurely leaning against a wall. She was looking at him indifferently.
He could not help but feel angry.
"Come here," Shi Jue said in a low voice as he tried to suppress his anger.
However, instead of approaching Shi Jue, Xia Weiyang raised her hand and admired the sky.
Her behavior intensely annoyed Shi Jue. His face darkened so much it looked like he was hiding behind a shadow.
"I'll say it again. Come here," he said as he gritted his teeth.
Again, instead of obeying Shi Jue, Xia Weiyang completely ignored him. She even turned around to look at her surroundings.
"Tsk!" Shi Jue was infuriated by her actions.
He could no longer suppress his anger. He immediately approached her and raised his arm.
Through the movements of the shadows on the ground, Xia Weiyang was able to see what was happening behind her. After noticing that Shi Jue was about to reach for her, she immediately turned around and raised her eyebrows. "I'm pregnant," she said with an indifferent tone.
In an instant, Shi Jue softened like a balloon losing its air.
"Shi Jue, what exactly do you want to do? I'm pregnant, and you asked me to come to the amusement park with you. It seems you deliberately don't want to have a child. If you don't want to have a child, you can tell me directly. I'll leave immediately!" Xia Weiyang said defiantly.
"Shut up!" Shi Jue suddenly roared angrily.
Despite his reaction, Xia Weiyang simply glanced at him indifferently. After being with him for the past few days, she was no longer afraid of him. She thought that no matter how angry Shi Jue got because of her, he could not do anything because of the child in her stomach.
This was the reason why she could act defiantly in front of him. However, there could be another reason that would explain Shi Jue's behavior.
"Could it be that you're in love with me? Perhaps you want to go on a date but you're shy..." Xia Weiyang said.
