Dian Dian rolled his eyes at Du Du. He then took a bite of the chicken wing and chewed slowly. After a while, he looked at Dian Dian with a serious expression on his face. "Stupid, I left a message."
"I'm not stupid! You said I'm smart. You are bad, brother!" Du Du pouted her mouth and angrily glared at Dian Dian.
"I was lying when I said that," Dian Dian responded.
"You are really mean!" Du Du turned away from her brother and ignored him. She then released her anger by taking a big bite out of the chicken leg she was holding.
She was so mad at her brother. She can't believe he bullied her.
She didn't want to call Dian Dian her brother anymore.
"Don't eat too much. You'll get fat!" Dian Dian said while watching Du Du.
Du Du raised her little face and looked at Dian Dian. Her mouth was filled with food.
Tears began to fill Du Du's eyes. However, instead of feeling sorry for his sister, Dian Dian ignored her.
Suddenly, Du Du cried loudly while looking at her brother. Her cries immediately caught the attention of the people inside the restaurant.
Dian Dian, however, ignored her.
"What's wrong? Little children, is your mother not coming to pick you up?" A waiter from the restaurant immediately approached the two kids after hearing Du Du crying loudly.
When they entered the restaurant, the two children told the waiter that they were waiting for their mother. The waiter became fond of them and ordered them a meal. She paid for Du Du and Dian Dian's food using her own money.
After seeing Du Du crying, the waiter felt sad and worried for her.
"My brother is bullying me!" Du Du complained as tears rolled down her face.
Before the waiter could say something, she was interrupted by Dian Dian. "Stop crying," he coldly said.
In an instant, Du Du stopped crying. She then looked at the waiter as she took another bite from the chicken leg.
Du Du then glared at her brother.
"Let's go!" Dian Dian suddenly said after finishing his food. He then stood up and prepared to leave.
Du Du hurriedly finished eating and trotted after Dian Dian. "Brother, wait for me!"
Du Du just showed how fast the mood of a child could change.
When the waiter realized that the children's mother did not pick them up, she chased after them with a worried expression on her face. However, when she caught up with Du Du and Dian Dian, she saw that they were standing next to a beautiful woman.
The waiter assumed that the woman was the children's mother. She heaved a sigh of relief and went back to the restaurant.
At that moment, the rain had weakened into a light drizzle.
After walking for a long time, the children noticed that it was already nighttime. Darkness surrounded them.
Du Du hugged her toy bear tightly in her arms while holding a little umbrella. She felt worried and scared as she looked at her surroundings. "Brother, I'm afraid. Let's go home."
Du Du no longer wanted to stay outside anymore. She wanted to go home. She missed her mother!
She didn't want to look for her father anymore!
"I'm not afraid!" Dian Dian then reached out and held Du Du's hand.
Dian Dian's eyes kept looking around as they continued to walk.
Although he told her sister that he wasn't afraid, he was starting to regret his decision to leave the house.
He actually did not know where they should go to find their father.
Also, Dian Dian knew that they were lost. However, he had to look brave so Du Du wouldn't get scared anymore.
"Brother..." Du Du's small hand clutched Dian Dian's clothes tightly. She was afraid that in the next moment, a monster would appear from the darkness.
'Mommy, where are you? I miss you so much. I want to go home. I will never run away again!' Du Du thought to herself.
Du Du's eyes were red. Although tears were already starting to fill her eyes, she tried her best not to cry.
Suddenly, Du Du and Dian Dian heard a rustling sound coming from the bushes on the other side of the road.
