"I'll go out first." Xia Weiyang opened the door at the right moment and stepped out. She was able to dodge Lu Ziyin's grasp.
The moment the door closed, Lu Ziyin's demeanor completely changed.
It seemed his gentleness was just an illusion.
A malicious look suddenly formed on his face.
"Xia Weiyang, you're still as naive as ever!" Lu Ziyin said with disdain. "However, I like your naivety! My dear Xia Weiyang, I hope you won't disappoint me."
Shi Jue immediately learned that Xia Weiyang took a job at Lu Ziyin's company.
He was in his office when he was informed about her new job.
Shi Jue almost exploded with anger after hearing about it.
His face was livid, and his nostrils flared up. His chest heaved as he breathed heavily.
"Xia Weiyang! You like him so much that you're willing to lose your dignity!" Shi Jue gritted his teeth and roared angrily.
"Mo Yi!" Suddenly, Shi Jue pressed the intercom and shouted.
A moment later, Mo Yi entered Shi Jue's office. He was slightly startled by Shi Jue's ashen face.
He immediately knew that the young master was infuriated.
"Young master, what are your orders?"
"Is Lu Ziyin competing with us on a project?"
"Yes," Mo Yi said after thinking for a while.
"I want you to secure that project no matter what. Also, find out the other projects that Lu Ziyin's company is trying to get. I want you to get them all! I don't want Lu Ziyin to get anything!"
Mo Yi slightly raised his eyebrows. He was startled by the challenging orders given to him by Shi Jue. It seemed Lu Ziyin had offended Shi Jue once again because of Zia Weiyang.
He could not help but think about how hard he worked for Shi Jue.
Aside from taking care of business matters for Shi Jue, Mo Yi also had to help the young master get Xia Weiyang back.
No matter how hard Shi Jue's orders were, Mo Yi still had to follow them.
"Come back!" Shi Jue shouted as soon as Mo Yi walked out the door.
"Young master, do you have other instructions?" Mo Yi asked after turning around.
"Do you have updates regarding the task I asked you to do last time? Did you find the evidence that I asked you to look for?"
Upon hearing this, Mo Yi raised his head and looked at Shi Jue with a serious expression. "Young master, I've already used all the resources that I can muster. However, every time I find a piece of evidence, someone destroys it. So, I'm sorry, young master. I've let you down."
Mo Yi felt very guilty and sad. It was the first time he was not able to complete an order given by Shi Jue. He felt ashamed.
"That's fine. Continue with your work. We must clear Xia Weiyang's name as soon as possible." Shi Jue narrowed his eyes and said.
He knew Xia Weiyang had suffered a lot because of the stories that appeared online.
His hatred for Xia Ningyan grew even more.
Suddenly, Shi Jue's phone rang.
Shi Jue waved at Mo Yi and glanced at the screen of his phone. He sighed before answering the call.
"Shi Jue, come home early today. Xiao Yan has made many of your favorite dishes. You are not allowed to come home late. Otherwise, I will tell your father that you disobeyed me!" Lin Xilan said with a commanding tone.
Shi Jue rubbed his head and squinted his eyes after hearing his mother's words.
The anger he felt in his heart grew after hearing the name Xiao Yan. He did not want to go home.
Suddenly, he came up with an idea.
He decided that he would not eat dinner at home.
"Mom, I won't be able to come home early tonight. I have a dinner engagement I have to attend to," Shi Jue said decisively.
"Let Mo Yi go. Shi Jue, I'm telling you, if you are not home by seven o'clock tonight, I'll really get mad," Lin Xilan threateningly said.
"I will not come home as long as Xia Ningyan is living there," Shi Jue said coldly.
"Young master Shi Jue, please come home. I'll leave immediately..."
Shi Jue suddenly heard Xia Ningyan's voice. He could sense the pretentiousness in her tone.
