Chapter 5 - Chapter 005: You're obviously using the public office to settle a personal vendetta

Su Mianmian felt nauseous. Although she didn't want to go, she felt a little uncomfortable being shown up by a newcomer. She pretended to go into the bathroom before she sneaked out to look around.

Xia Lei had just arrived at the door of the cockpit when she happened to hear Lu Xiangdong's conversation with the tower.

"Control, everything is ready. Request to fly."

A voice came from the tower. "Wait another 30 minutes. Prepare to slide out."

"Yes." As he put down the walkie-talkie, Lu Xiangdong's gaze fixed on the front. Qi Hang winked at him.

He turned back to look at the woman standing at the cockpit door and frowned. "What's the matter?"

Xia Lei walked towards them with two bottled drinks in her hands.

"Captain Lu, it's nothing special. I just came to ask when the plane will take off. The passengers are quite emotional right now and the flight attendants are a little busy."

She handed the drinks to them and smiled gently.

Qi Hang took a sip of the drink and sized up this beautiful and tall woman. He had to admire her courage. Almost no female flight attendants dared to approach Captain Lu.

Lu Xiangdong said indifferently, "In thirty minutes."

Su Mianmian hid behind the open cabin door. Her hands gently placed on the door handle as she eavesdropped their conversation.

She saw that Xia Lei was very close to Lu Xiangdong. The two of them didn't know what they were talking about. Xia Lei had a bright smile on her face whereas Lu Xiangdong occasionally curled the corners of his mouth slightly. Although there was no smile on his face, at least his attitude toward Xia Lei was better than hers.

Su Mianmian forgot that she was eavesdropping on someone else's conversation. She was so excited that she knocked her body against the cabin door. Her feet slipped and she fell to the ground with a bang.

"Stewardess Su?" Xia Lei turned her head and widened her eyes. She quickly came over to help her up.

How could she dare to let the other party help her up? She was so embarrassed that she could no longer raise her head. She shook off the dust on her body, lowered her head, and hurriedly said that she had gone in the wrong direction. She ran forward without turning back.

With a look of disbelief, Qi Hang opened his mouth and said, "Boss, was that Su Mianmian just now?"

Lu Xiangdong's face darkened. He pursed his lips and drank his drink without saying a word.

Xia Lei saw that the atmosphere was a little depressing and quickly exited the cockpit.

"Keep an eye on this place. I'm going to the bathroom," Lu Xiangdong said and suddenly stood up.

Qi Hang's mouth was preoccupied with the bottle, so he nodded.

Lu Xiangdong walked straight to the service area and pulled Su Mianmian, who was standing in the corner, into the washroom.

"Hey, what advice does Captain Lu have for me?" Su Mianmian said, feeling so guilty that she did not dare to look at him.

He snorted coldly and lowered his head to look at her. "Miss Su, a dog can't change its ways. You may be able to hide that little move of yours from others, but I can't."

She knew her plan had been seen through, so she admitted, "If you didn't do anything wrong, would you still be afraid that I was eavesdropping? " She angrily knocked the cart's wheel against his leg. He grabbed the other end of the cart and said coldly "Su Mianmian, if you do such a boring thing in the future, be careful that I don't skin you alive."

Su Mianmian raised her hand, but he grabbed it. When her gaze fell upon her bleeding arm, his eyes flashed and tone softened. "Are you injured?"

"What does this have to do with Captain Lu?" she said provocatively.

He let go of her hand and pulled her in front of him. He frowned and said, "Go and treat the wound. I'll send someone else to take over your work."

She jumped up excitedly. "No! It's not like I broke my arm or leg. Why would I let someone else take over my work? You're clearly using the office to get revenge for your own personal grudge."
