Chapter 2 - 2 Watcher

Squishing my hand again. It finally dawned on me what I was touching.

Looking up from my thoughts my hand was sunken about an inch into the obelisk.

Trying to pull my hand from the obelisk the soft and squishy feeling quickly changed to sharp piercing pains along my entire forearm. Quickly stopping. The pain subsided returning back to the squishy feeling.

I spent the next few minutes trying to pull my arm out various ways. I ended up stopping after the pain was covering my entire upper body and the obelisk was a third its original size.

Waiting a little longer the Obelisk was now the size of a small book. Still my hand wouldn't release the Obelisk.

That's when IT appeared.

A solid black hole.

IT looked as if someone cut a hole In, well, air then filled in the hole with that noir black or what ever it's called.

But IT scared me, IT was popping occasionally popping out a claw or tentacle that would fall to the ground wriggling. There were also balls of fire or shards of ice a branch of a tree. It just spit out random things every now and then

And now this little Obelisk was pulling me into said Hole.

Trying to Pull against the Obelisk my entire body seized up.

Then I just gave in. If I'm going to die I might as well. I decided to think of all the good things in my life.

Family

I haven't really talked to my family in a few years, I wonder how they are doing.

Burgers, yeah, I really like burger's.

Shocked from my thoughts but the utter nothing ness around me. This utter nothingness lasted about 30 minutes. Hopefully 30 minutes.

Until the entire place lit up.

I watched a ball of dirt from that ball of dirt, Then water burst from within the dirt flooding the land. Once again dirt formed raising the land creating continents from those continents Grass broke through. Some of the lands water came once again freezing becoming ice and snow others the water mixed with the dirt becoming mud and swamp lands others rocks and dusts gathered covering vast amounts of lands becoming the first deserts. Rocks broke free from the dirt reaching for the stars but falling short becoming mountains.

Next came a vast amount of plant Life covered the land some broke through the ice showcasing unique abilities.

Soon after small fury people came our building homes among the trees burrows in the sands and homes anchored to the sides of cliffs and staying far away from the ice and snow except for a select few who chose to brave the cold climate.

They were very tribalistic. Communing with nature through intricate rituals calling upon nature's forces to defend themselves and slay there foes.

But they weren't alone. A race of Reptilians controlled the swamps and marsh lands. Large monstrosities. Some were Crocodiles that walked on two feet others had a human upper body the tails of snakes a few among these had a hair full of snakes.

There was peace for a few centuries then the Reptilians population was to big to remain in there little swamps and marshes and the small furry creatures craved expansion. Fights broke out at first, Just small skirmishes. Then the little fury creatures used some type of magic to freeze an entire swamp. This was there declaration of war. Soon the war took place it lasted for a few decades until both agreed to stop.

But, that only lasted a few days as one of the furry tribes desecrated the Reptilians sacred ground Burning it to the ground. A war quickly ensued for the next 800 years. The war only ended due to the appearance of the Beasts hundreds of them appeared out of nowhere killing 80% of the population. Forcing them to become allies. But it was to late as they were slowly pushed into extinction.

Then the world shifted. New lands appeared a single race appeared tall pale blue humanoids. They didn't mess around right away they got to work building rudimentary technology in the first 50 years soon in the next 50 the technology was pushed to earth's current standards.

they stalled for about a 100 years before quickly advancing again they started colonizing the moon. Built sky scrappers reaching out to space. They started to explore more of there planets around them. Then it happened again beasts came out of nowhere leveling cities destroying there space crafts. The weaponless people chose to run packing up there civilization on ships leaving for the stars.

Then the world shifted This time, Giants roamed the lands Lazily, Helping nature grow and flourish. This was there way of life for nearly a million years passed as they roamed the land in peace. Until one day they showed up the pale blue people appeared out of nowhere in giant battleships gunning down all life they found without discrimination. All the Giants could do was shelter smaller life with there bodies only some of the largest of the giants the ones rivaling mountains. were able to hurl boulders at the ship damaging them and some even being destroyed. But in the end it was for naught. They were killed off like all the rest.

Then it shifted again, and again, and again, and again.

I watched.

I watched civilization's Rise conquer galaxies only to be wiped out one way or another. There star became sentient and ate them. Space monsters appeared out of nowhere destroying everything. Civilization's I watched topple came out of portals to destroy another civilization. Some managed to Run. Others not so lucky. When I blinked hundreds of years could of passed or a single second.

I Watched, Worlds unite. Under one banner the moment they found each other.

I Watched, races Kill anything that rubbed them the wrong way.

I Watched, Worlds ripped of life In the pursuit of knowledge.

I Watched, Worlds build up life in the pursuit of perfection.

I Watched, As every single one of them fell.

Then It dawned on me. If we were doomed to extinction I could survive. I could Live we wouldn't die out. Maybe, I could save a few others. Maybe, I could save my family.

I will continue watching, observing, learning, From there mistakes. Correct there mistakes. Eventually, I will be free.

. . . . Hopefully
