Reon blinked slowly and his eyes remained closed longer and longer until he finally fell asleep.
Alexandrien also felt himself becoming more and more sleepy as he listened to her honey like voice. If he had to describe her voice the first thing that come to his mind was honey. Rich, golden, sweet and syrup like. He felt like it shothened his nerves and his inside become still water even though he was in trouble before.
The song was melancholic and sad. It was a song that Chrystalya knew since she can remember.
It was about a dancer.
Her body was weak and she spent most of her time in bed but dancing was her life and she couldn't give it up. Every night she sneaked out of the house and went to a dance hall to dance. She spent her life like this. Her dance was like a feather dancing on the water. There was something enchanting about it that could capture anybody just by a glance. But day by day her condition become worse and worse. She couldn't give up dancing. Even when all of her bones screamed for rest she still danced. When she was dancing she felt calm and that was the only time she could forget about everything. Her husband and her two daughter. She danced and danced and danced. Her body become so weak that she could barely move but she still sneaked out and started dancing under the moonlight. She knew that this was her last dance. So she danced freely and after a song she collapsed.
Everybod who saw her lost performance was in tears. But she smiled until the end and died doing the thing that made her happy and fullfilled.
Chrystalya slowly lowered her voice as she sang and looked at her son kindly. Maybe she didn't showed emotions on her face but her eyes where clear and convejed her feelings well.
Alexandrien slowly stood up and walked next to her. Chrystalya looked at him as he leaned in. Alexandrien then picked her up in his arms wich suprised her and she quickly huged his neck.
"Y..Your Majesty...?" She asked confusedly. She couldn't look at his face. This was the first time she was carried like a bride in her entier life.
"Shhhh..." Alexandrien wispered. "You will wake him up."
"I'm sorry" Chrystalya was flustered but her pride wouldn't let her show it so she just obidiently let him carry her.
Alexandrien walked back to the couch and sat down placing Chrystalya on his lap. He then picked up the papers and continued to read them trou.
Chrystalya was also curius so shee started to read it too.
"Your Majesty. I would reconsider that trade." The bussines woman in her awokend as she readed the papers.
"And why is that?" Alexandrien gazed at her curiusly.
" Lunaris and Lavaris are in a good relationship. Both diplomaticly and tradingly. If we where to trade with Lunaris they wouldn't need Lavaris's help anymore and that could end up in war sincec Lavaris would lose one of it's most important trading partner wich would mean that they would weaken. They need more land to grow crops so they would invade the neighbooring countries. Lavaris isn't a good place for farming." She slowly raised the paper and readed it once again.
"I agree with you. Also its not like de la Pergrien needs this deal. But it was Lunaris who requested it." Alexandrien slowly nodded.
