Mu Ru was bothered by what Cheng Feier told her the previous day.
Cheng Feier loved to gossip and would talk about anyone and everything. While they were waiting for the bus the other day, Cheng Feier kept asking her about Dongfang Mo, and she even asked, "Mu Ru, is your husband gentle with you?"
Mu Ru blushed and glared at Cheng Feier, but Cheng Feier laughed out loud. Cheng Feier whispered, "Mu Ru, why are you so shy? You're already a married woman. Why are you afraid to talk about this? These days, many girls our age have already watched Japanese ****. Who doesn't know about that? It's a simple question."
Mu Ru felt even more ashamed. Coincidentally, someone had vomited in the trash can beside the bus stop, but it had spilled out of the bin. It looked disgusting. Mu Ru covered her mouth with her hand and vomited as well.
Cheng Feier quickly asked if she was feeling unwell. She shook her head and pointed at the trash can not far away. Cheng Feier glanced at it. She immediately covered her mouth with her hand and said, "It's quite disgusting. The bus is here. Hurry up and get on. If we stay longer, I'm afraid I'll vomit too."
Mu Ru and Cheng Feier got on the bus and squeezed themselves into the seats along with the rest of the passengers. Cheng Feier was going to get off ahead of her because she lived in the city.
Mu Ru would have to take the longer ride because the Dongfang courtyard was in the suburbs. She had to pass by thirteen bus stops. That was ten stops farther than Cheng Feier's location.
Traffic was very heavy, and she had been on the bus for more than an hour before she arrived. When she got home, it was already past eight. She saw no one else except Mother Liu, who was waiting for her in the dining room. Mother Liu told Mu Ru that she had saved some food for her.
While she was having dinner, Mother Liu sat at the side and chatted with her. She told Mu Ru that Xi Muxue threw up during dinner and that she was very pale and walked unsteadily. Mother Liu told her that Mu Xue almost fainted.
Mu Ru was stunned. She casually asked Mother Liu about whether Mu Xue was sick, but Mother Liu told her she had no idea. Dongfang Yu simply brought Mu Xue to the hospital.
Because Mu Ru had returned home late that night, she had not seen anyone other than Dongfang Yu the next day. Dongfang Jun was going abroad soon, and he had gone to Hong Kong for his exams, which he was scheduled to take in the next few days. She had not seen anyone else.
On Saturday, she stayed home. She stayed up late on Friday night because she reviewed her lessons. She felt extremely sleepy, so she overslept that morning. When she woke up, it was already eight o'clock in the morning.
She had never slept so late before. She wondered if Dongfang Mo would be having breakfast with them that morning. She was afraid of not being at the dining room the same time as him, especially because he often ate early. She was afraid that her not being punctual would anger him.
She hurriedly got out of bed, washed up and prepared herself, and rushed downstairs. Only then did she realize that almost all the Dongfang family members had gathered in the living room.
Her noble and beautiful younger sister who was already her sister-in-law, Mu Xue, was sitting on the sofa with a smile on her face. Next to her were Dongfang Mei and Dongfang Yu, and of course, a bunch of servants.
Mu Ru was wondering what was going on. She tried to listen in to their conversation. Dongfang Mei said, "Ah Yu, since Mu Xue is pregnant, we can't be careless. This is the bloodline of our family. I think she doesn't need to go to school anymore. We should focus on protecting the baby in her womb. Everything else has to wait until the child is born."
Dongfang Yu nodded and said, "Aunt Gu is right. Why don't we look for a servant to take care of her?"
