Chapter 95 - Chapter 95. It was time to have a toast

Suddenly, someone from outside screamed, "Brother Xun! That Dongfang Yu is here!" Everyone stood in shock.

Nangong Xun slowly turned around and looked at the young man who had interrupted the ceremony. His expression darkened and turned sour. "So what if he's here? What's the big deal? Will he be able to fly to my cruise ship?" he said coldly.

The man who had interrupted the ceremony was slightly stunned as it was not the reaction he was expecting. He quickly turned around to leave. He knew that Nangong Xun had no plans of letting Dongfang Yu board the cruise ship.

When Mu Ru heard that Dongfang Yu had arrived, she began to feel hopeful. However, she felt conflicted when Nangong Xun brushed off his arrival as if it didn't threaten or put him off.

Mu Ru was getting curious. Dongfang Yu must have used a cruise ship or a yacht to chase after them. She was wondering how things were going to unfold.

"The wedding continues!" Nangong Xun said coldly as he turned around and looked at the host, who was standing on the stage in a daze.

"Yes," the emcee answered as he regained his senses. He then cleared his throat and shouted, "Husband and wife first greet each other and are then sent to the bridal chamber!"

Mu Ru froze. She wasn't willing to go to the bridal chamber with Nangong Xun. Any person knew what going to the bridal chamber meant, and she definitely wasn't willing to consummate anything with Nangong Xun.

She was already Dongfang Mo's wife. As the old saying goes, when you marry a chicken, you follow the chicken, and when you marry a dog, you follow the dog. She had already followed the Dongfang family, and she couldn't do anything that would let Dongfang Mo down.

Unfortunately, there was nothing she could do to turn the situation around. Her unwillingness would not have made a difference. Nangong Xun placed his hand on her shoulder and pulled her tightly towards the so-called bridal chamber.

From the guests' perspective, the couple looked very intimate. However, in reality, Mu Ru was practically dragged upstairs by Nangong Xun.

The bridal chamber was very large and spacious. It occupied almost the entire third floor of the cruise ship. There was a tasseled sofa set and a long imperial consort chair in the room. The furniture pieces looked exceptionally noble.

The entire room was decorated in warm colors. Perhaps it was because it was the wedding night, but everything in it was festive. Even the curtains were golden red.

There was a big round bed in the middle of the room. It looked particularly ambiguous. Mu Ru looked around and instinctively retreated to the other side. Her face was filled with anxiety and fear as she cried out, "Nangong Xun, we can't—"

"Why not?" Nangong Xun was amused with Mu Ru's behavior. Step by step, he approached her. The corners of his mouth curled into a proud smile. "Mu Ru, this room is not so big. Where can you run off to?"

Mu Ru became even more afraid. Nangong Xun was right. There was nowhere she could run to.

She couldn't hide nor escape. She took a few steps back until she was backed up against the wall. She continued to walk faster towards the sofa in her effort to hide behind it, but she fell onto the sofa instead.

Nangong Xun looked at Mu Ru, who was panicking and struggling to get up from the sofa. He couldn't help but laugh. He reached out and picked up two glasses of red wine from the coffee table. As he handed her a glass of wine, he said, "What are you afraid of? We're already husband and wife, aren't we? Come. It's time for us to exchange a glass of wine."
