Chapter 84 - Chapter 84-19 Birthday 1

As for Dongfang Mo, it was said that his skin cancer was already very serious. He had rushed to the United States probably because his skin cancer had already flared up. After Dongfang Mo's death, Dongfang Yu would become the leader of the Dongfang Group, and her status would became more honorable. She felt that she would definitely be able to suppress Xi Muru.

But after hearing Dongfang Jun's explanation that day, she realized that she had no chance at becoming a mistress of the Dongfang family. Even if Dongfang Mo died, as long as Xi Muru did not remarry and was still in the house, Mu Xue would never have that chance.

Mu Xue was furious. She felt that it was such an unfair rule. Xi Muru was born to be an evil creature. She was born to be a servant. She was a country bumpkin who simply took her place to marry Dongfang Mo. Suddenly, she becomes more powerful than her. Mu Xue was worried that she would be living under Mu Ru's shadow for the rest of her life.

"Oh, if that's the case, then it's fine if Sister-in-Law doesn't have any money now," Xi Muxue suddenly said in a friendly and more understanding tone. She suddenly became extremely friendly. "Sister-in-Law, I'm really sorry about my behavior just now. I was a little harsh. Please forgive me."

Mu Ru listened as Mu Xue apologized to her. It was the first time Mu Xue had apologized to her for anything at all. It was unprecedented, so she quickly said, "It's okay. I really don't have it. I would have given it to you if I had the money."

Xi Muxue walked back upstairs with a smile on her face. Mu Ru watched as Mu Xue walked away from her, and she felt a little nervous. She knew that Mu Xue's sudden change meant that she had something else in mind and was planning something vile. That was how the Xi family worked.

"All right, Mu Ru, you don't have to be so nervous," Dongfang Jun said when he saw Mu Ru's nervous expression. He tried to comfort her. "Actually, the mistress of the Dongfang family shouldn't be that tired. Look at my mother. She makes it appear like she has all the time in her hands. Why are you making yourself so nervous?"

Mu Ru scratched her head. She wasn't so sure either. There were too many troublesome things going on. She did not dare to make any decisions for fear of making a mistake.

Dongfang Jun was about to comfort Mu Ru again when his phone rang. He smiled at Mu Ru, then he took his phone and walked out as he answered the call.

Mu Ru continued to get busy by trying to understand the tasks. She had no idea whats he was supposed to do because she had never encountered such dilemmas before, but she did her best. Soon, it was about five in the afternoon. She had just finished her work and was about to let out a long sigh when Xi Muxue came down again.

"Mu Ru," Xi Muxue said. She had called Mu Ru's name out of habit, then she realized that she was not allowed to call Mu Ru by her name anymore. "Sister-in-Law, my parents called and asked us to go home for our birthday tonight. They said that they are going to hold a grand party for us."

"Huh?" Mu Ru was obviously stunned. She could not react in time. She said, "My birthday is three days after today. For the past eighteen years, I've been celebrating it three days later every year, right?"

"Mom and Dad said that they owe you for what happened in the past. They felt guilty. From this year onward, you will be celebrating your birthday today, the nineteenth of October. You will be celebrating with me on the same day," Xi Muxue explained patiently to her. She walked over to Mu Ru and softly said, "Sister-in-Law, you should come back with me. After all, this is Father and Mother's gesture of good will."

Mu Ru initially did not want to go back with Mu Xue, but she agreed when she realized that she might not be able to see Mother Wang in three days. She nodded and said, "All right then. I'll go back with you. I'll go back to see Mother Wang."
