Gu Ruochu stood at the exit alone.
Jin Ye had seen what had happened and had followed her. "Ruochu, are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Let's go back. We can't miss the last round of the lucky draw at the banquet." Gu Ruochu walked back slowly. She had no idea why she had compromised and allowed Ning Tangxi to take Huo Nanchen away from the banquet.
Gu Ruochu knew that there would be some sort of friction between them. However, she did not know how much longer she would continue to tolerate Ning Tangxi.
Gu Ruochu had never asked Huo Nanchen to come clean about his past with Ning Tangxi. She thought that he would confess on his own.
Yang Xi saw that Gu Ruochu had returned and quickly dragged her over and urged, "Ruochu, it's time for the lucky draw. Hurry up and go on stage and draw for the staff."
"All right."
Gu Ruochu took the lucky draw box from Yang Xi's hand and went on stage.
The mood in the venue had improved. Yang Xi let out a sigh of relief and thought about taking Gu Ruochu out for a stroll after the party to forget about Ning Tangxi.
"When you accompany Gu Ruochu later, don't talk too much." An Shaosi walked up to her and reminded her.
"I don't need you to remind me!" Yang Xi rolled her eyes and took a few steps back in disgust. Lu Fang watched from the side and noticed the ******* between them.
After the lucky draw, Gu Ruochu returned to her usual calm self. She was no longer sad.
Yang Xi rubbed her hands as she sat in the car. She was still thinking about what to say to comfort her. Gu Ruochu saw Uncle Wang in the rearview mirror driving behind her unhurriedly.

"All right. Don't be nervous. Do I look sad?"
Gu Ruochu interrupted Yang Xi's train of thought. Her eyes were calm.
"There's nothing to be sad about anyway. Miss Gu, let's go out and have some fun." Yang Xi thumped her chest and sighed in relief.
"Why were you and An Shaosi together?" Gu Ruochu remembered that she had arrived in An Shaosi's car.

Gu Ruochu's mood lightened up a little as she listened to Yang Xi describe her hate for An Shaosi.
The sky had started to drizzle and, the weather seemed to be as gloomy as her mood. Gu Ruochu took an umbrella from the car and held it over her head. The raindrops fell heavily on the umbrella.
The autumn rainy season had begun.
"She will use Cheng Xi to take Huo Nanchen away from you. There will be countless more times when she does that. Ruochu, are you really going to compromise?" Jin Ye's voice was still ringing in her ears.
A compromise would lead to a safe and friendly relationship, but not a happy one. She did not like her options.
Nanny Zhang came out with an umbrella. "Young Madam, why are you back so late? It's raining so hard. Come in quickly, I've already made dinner."
