In the past, Gu Ruochu would go out in the middle of the night. Just as she was about to agree to Xu Yichen's offer, she saw Huo Nanchen's car approaching the front gate.
"Huo Nanchen is back. I have to go."
Gu Ruochu returned to the bed and lay on it, pretending to be asleep.
"All right. Go to sleep."
Xu Yichen also logged out of his WeChat account. Rong Xiao had already woken up, and he saw Xu Yichen reading the text that his friend had sent him about Ning Tangxi.
"Ruochu and the others all think that I'm the information resource center. The real gossip resource center should be you." Rong Xiao patted his shoulder and yawned. "What time is it? If you don't sleep, you'll age early."
"Go back to sleep. I can't sleep." Xu Yichen didn't even look at him. He was still calmly reading the message on his phone. His voice was indifferent.
Among all of Gu Ruochu's friends, he had always been the calmest and the most unemotional one.
"I have to hand it to you." Rong Xiao ignored him and went back to sleep after drinking a glass of water.
Gu Ruochu felt at ease immediately after she lay on the bed again. She fell into a deep sleep before Huo Nanchen could make it upstairs.
In her daze, she dreamt that a claw belonging to an ugly beast was pressing down on her chest, suffocating her. As she struggled to go free, the other claw pressed down on her waist and dragged her over.
As if dissatisfied with her struggle, the beast opened its mouth and bit down on her collarbone.
Gu Ruochu opened her eyes, and it was already seven-thirty in the morning. The morning sun shone through the window onto the bed. Her waist and chest were a little sore from Huo Nanchen's embrace.
His face was just a few inches away from her. It was a little more harmless when he was asleep, allowing Gu Ruochu to let her guard down completely.
She did not know whether to laugh or cry, and she quietly moved his hand away, afraid that any sudden movement would wake him. He must have been very tired. Normally, he would wake up after hearing her make the slightest of movements. However, he was still in a deep sleep and subconsciously changed his position.
Huo Nanchen lay sprawled on the bed. His chest and legs were exposed while the rest of his body was covered by the blanket.
He had stripped off his clothes before climbing into bed.
Gu Ruochu raised her hand and touched a mark on her collarbone. When she entered the bathroom, she looked in the mirror and saw the red strawberry spots on her body. It was obvious that he had made love to her before he fell asleep.
As she washed up, she could not help but curse him in her heart.
It was almost noon.
Huo Nanchen woke up and habitually leaned against the bed. When he opened his eyes, he saw that he was alone in the room.
"Ruochu?"
A gentle breeze blew in. He looked at his watch and realized that it was twelve-thirty in the afternoon. He casually picked up a towel and wrapped it around his waist before entering the bathroom.
Not long after, Huo Nanchen received a call.
"Boss, the wedding dress design that you modified has been completed. Do you want me to send you a copy of the design to take a look?"
"Send it over now. Also, send the design to the designer and have them work on it as soon as possible."
The wedding process and all the details had been finalized. The date of the wedding had also been confirmed. Huo Nanchen had finally completed his plan to wed Gu Ruochu a second time.
He had spent several days coming up with the design for the wedding dress and had revised it a few times. He looked forward to seeing her in the dress.
He did not doubt that she would be stunning in it.
"Okay." Li Tezhu hung up the phone and took the design.
