The sound of someone screaming, while rolling down the stairs, frightened everyone in the house. Even the servants who were cleaning outside the Huo residence heard the cry.
"Lili!"
Even though Huang Meixiang had expected this to happen, her heart clenched when she saw her daughter rolling down the stairs.
"Mom, I'm in so much pain! Cousin, why did you push me..."
Gu Li rolled frantically on the carpet, and her facial features were twisted from the pain. Her stomach felt as if it had been torn apart. She was in so much pain.
She touched her dress and saw that it was covered in blood.
"I'm bleeding!"
Gu Ruochu was still standing on the stairs. She did not understand how Gu Li had rolled down the stairs. Her mind was replaying the scene from before.
"What should we do about her? Should we send her to the hospital?"
Nanny Zhang walked over and saw Gu Li's pained expression. Her condition did not look good. She had bled all over her leg, and it looked as though she was having a miscarriage!
"Call an ambulance immediately! And call Huo Zirui over as well!"

Huang Meixiang tried to slap her again, but Gu Ruochu blocked her hand. Huang Meixiang gnashed her teeth as she struggled to free her hand.
"Huang Meixiang, watch your mouth! Your daughter rolled down the stairs on her own. Don't even think about spilling dirty water on me!"
Gu Ruochu let go of her hand and Huang Meixiang staggered a few steps and almost fell.
"You still want to deny it!" Huang Meixiang's hand trembled as she pointed at Gu Ruochu. The doctor saw the commotion and walked over frowning. "Why are you making so much noise in the hospital? Who is Gu Li's closest family member?"
