Gu Ruochu did not know why Huo Nanchen was laughing. She felt a little conflicted in her heart, and she could not find anything funny about the situation.
This inexplicable feeling of pleasing him was rather complicated.
She made it to the master bedroom and headed straight for the bathroom. When Gu Ruochu came out, she saw a slender body leaning against the headboard of the bed. Under the light, it emitted a faint honey-colored glow that was completely untainted.
His body was so warm and powerful.
The scene before her eyes was dazzling. The scent of his hormones carried a seductive aura.

Gu Ruochu's gaze swept past his merman's line and his abdominal muscles. She could not even take a step forward. Why had he felt the need to strip off his clothes?
Moments ago, she had lost her nerve in front of him.
"What are you standing there for? Come here." Huo Nanchen's low and hoarse voice rang out in the bedroom.
'Forget it, I'll just die!'
Gu Ruochu stalled for a while. She was still rather slow. She then made her way to the other side of the bed and lifted the blanket as she lay down and closed her eyes.
The bed was filled with his scent. He reached out and pulled her into his embrace. She could feel the smooth lines on his body.
His embrace was as warm and comfortable as ever. Gu Ruochu leaned into his embrace and could not be bothered to move. All she wanted was to have a good night's sleep.
Suddenly, he turned off the lights. It was pitch black.
"Wife."
"What are you doing?"
"Get some sleep." He patted her gently as if he was coaxing a child.
Under the dim light, she saw the wedding ring on his hand. Back when the original Gu Ruochu married Huo Nanchen, both parties must have been unhappy at the wedding.
In the darkness, she carefully observed his deep brows, his elegantly straight nose, and his thin lips. There was an extra layer of softness in her eyes.
"If it's possible, I'd like to put on a wedding dress once again and marry you."
Gu Ruochu's voice was soft, and it soon disappeared into the endless darkness. She thought that he was asleep, but his sudden embrace let her know that he was still awake.
Had he heard her?
Even if he did, he would probably think that she was being willful. Who would hold a wedding for no reason?
She sighed softly.
As she thought about it, she was so tired that she fell asleep.
In the darkness of the night, a kiss landed on her forehead.
Their relationship was now full of endless affection and restrained love.
Gu Ruochu set the alarm so that she woke up on time at seven in the morning. When she woke up, she realized that she could not move. Huo Nanchen's arm was placed on her waist and she was completely wrapped in his embrace.
"You're awake?" Huo Nanchen opened his eyes, and his passionate body pressed her into the blanket. A fiery kiss blotted Gu Ruochu's lips. She could not resist it, no matter how hard she tried.
It was a morning kiss. He placed his hands on her body before letting go of her.
Gu Ruochu rolled past him and got off the bed. Huo Nanchen chuckled softly when he saw her panic-stricken expression.
"Are you afraid that I'll eat you? Madam, sooner or later, you'll take the initiative to beg me." He got off the bed and pulled out a shirt from the closet. His slender fingers nimbly buttoned it up.
He then pulled Gu Ruochu into his arms. "Go brush your teeth, I'll bring your clothes over."
Huo Nanchen squeezed the toothpaste onto her toothbrush and passed it to her. He no longer had the cold and distant look that he used to have. They were no longer strangers to each other.
