Lu Fang's guess was right. Huo Nanchen had not received a single call from Gu Ruochu since the scandal broke out. Even though he remained expressionless on the surface, he could not help but feel disappointed in his heart.
His phone was quietly placed on his desk.
At six o'clock, his phone finally rang.
Huo Nanchen's eyes darkened when he saw the name that lit up on the screen. His black pupils flashed with a dangerous, mysterious light.
"What's the matter?"
An Shaosi's voice came through the other end of the line. "Where are you?"
"You'd better call me if it's really important."
"Hm, why are you so angry?" An Shaosi's voice was neither fast nor slow as he laughed. "I'm just wanted to inform you that your wife seems to be working hard to find a famous director in the entertainment industry, that old fogey, Wang Gang. What? Your wife would rather ask for help from an outsider than ask you to help her?"
An Shaosi's mocking voice was deliberate and obvious.
"Why are you so concerned about my wife?"
Huo Nanchen almost crushed the cellphone in his hand.
"Although Wang Gang has his own independent team, it's still under my company's name. How could I not know?"
An Shaosi did want to upset Huo Nanchen, so he explained himself at a leisurely pace.
Wang Xin was behind the attack on Gu Ruochu's company. An Shaosi had driven by Wang Xin's new company to spy on him.
