Gu Ruochu was almost driven mad by Huo Nanchen's torture. She had never thought that he would have such a side to him. When she finally could not take it anymore, she begged him to stop, but he did not show her any compassion.
Huo Nanchen addressed her in a low and hoarse voice. "I feel that you always act as if you don't care. Do you think that I will always allow you to do whatever you want? If you cross my bottom line, you will have to pay the price."
In the end, Gu Ruochu lay on the bed like a salted fish.
She was so shocked that she quickly used her last bit of strength to push him away. "Huo Nanchen, don't bully me anymore."
She couldn't stand Huo Nanchen anymore. She suddenly had an inexplicable fear of him.
Gu Ruochu realized that he didn't care about her feelings.
While she was in a daze, Huo Nanchen gently carried her into the bathroom.
His body was in a little pain. He feared that one of his wounds had just reopened. However, when he saw Gu Ruochu's obedient appearance, the stuffy feeling in his chest dissipated.
"Why can't you be a little more obedient?"
However, when he thought about it, if Gu Ruochu became an obedient wife, she would lose her fierce identity.
Once they were in the bathroom, Huo Nanchen placed her in the bathtub and bathed her. He then wrapped her in a towel and carried her to the bed, and she fell asleep immediately.
When Gu Ruochu woke up the next day, her body was in pain.
Several of her clothes were placed at the foot of the bed.
Gu Ruochu's eyes were sore and swollen, and she slowly got up from the bed. She did not know where Huo Nanchen had gone, but from the soft voice coming from the apartment, she could tell that he was still there.
Gu Ruochu got down from the bed, put on her shoes, and ran downstairs.
Huo Nanchen was in the bathroom, and he was slowly brushing his teeth. When he was finished, he wiped his face with Gu Ruochu's towel and looked in the mirror as he tried to gather himself and face her.
However, when Huo Nanchen came out of the bathroom, he looked around the bedroom and noticed that Gu Ruochu had disappeared.
His expression instantly turned ugly, and he quickly followed her downstairs.
"Ruochu!"
Gu Ruochu had run out of the apartment building. She wanted to hail a taxi and escape. As she looked around, she was surprised to see Yi Eryang's car parked a few meters away. She quickly ran towards the car and frantically knocked on the window.
Yi Eryang was shocked when he saw Gu Ruochu slamming the car's window. He quickly opened the door and asked, "What's wrong?"
After his fight with Huo Nanchen the previous day, Yi Eryang had decided to drive by Gu Ruochu's apartment and check on her. He had not expected her to run out so desperately.
Her face was full of fear as she said, "Take me to my father's place."
"Why?"
Gu Ruochu did not answer him. Instead, she got into the car and closed the door. Huo Nanchen came out of the apartment building and spotted the car. When Yi Eryang saw him, he understood that Gu Ruochu was trying to run away from him.
An evil smile appeared on Yi Eryang's lips. When Huo Nanchen looked at him, Yi Eryang started the engine and reversed the car. He then turned the car around and sped away.
When Huo Nanchen saw Gu Ruochu's face through the windshield, his exquisite eyes turned cold, and he stared unblinkingly at her.
At that moment, Gu Ruochu did not look at him.
After they had driven away, Gu Ruochu's phone suddenly rang. The ringtone pricked her tensed nerves, and she did not pick it up.
After ringing for some time, her phone fell silent.
A mocking smile appeared on Gu Ruochu's lips. However, Yi Eryang glanced at the side mirror and saw a car following closely behind them.
He raised his brows and increased the force of his foot on the gas pedal.
"Ruochu, he is chasing after us!"
