Huo Nanchen stared at Gu Ruochu emotionally. She had always been rational in their relationship. In fact, Gu Ruochu was the most ruthless woman he knew.
Even when she was injured, she would proudly hide her wounds so that no one would see them. She was so proud that she would never give her enemies the chance to trample on her pride.
Huo Nanchen could not afford to lose her.
"Ruochu, I don't want to hear you say things that make me angry." Huo Nanchen laughed out of anger. His dark and deep eyes continued to stare at her. "You should know that."
"All right. I won't talk about it then." Gu Ruochu took a few steps back and said, "Let's talk about the divorce. I don't want a single cent of your money. We haven't been married for a long time, and we don't have any children, so we should part on good terms."
Huo Nanchen did not say another word. He glanced at her and turned around.
"Where are you going?"
When Gu Ruochu saw Huo Nanchen turn around, she walked unhurriedly towards the door. Her slender, jade-like hand reached for the doorknob.
She wasn't prepared to let him leave the room without getting any confirmation from Rong Xiao that Xu Yichen was safe.
"Ruochu, what do you mean by this?"
"Aren't you going to rest for a while? You just came back, and I even asked the receptionist to bring the food here. Aren't you going to eat before you leave?"
Gu Ruochu persuaded Huo Nanchen like a qualified and dutiful wife who was worried about her husband's health. She spoke softly and ignored the fact that she had just asked for a divorce.
"Have some food. You came straight to the hospital after you picked up Ning Tangxi from the airport. It's not good for your health if you don't eat."
Huo Nanchen turned around to look at the woman behind him. His dark eyes were like a bottomless pit, and a smile appeared on his lips.

Huo Nanchen's phone buzzed again. Ning Tangxi was trying to reach him. Gu Ruochu turned off his phone. Huo Nanchen watched her every move, but he did not stop her. He only looked at her longingly.
"Ruochu, have you thought about it?"
Gu Ruochu had no other option. She took a few steps towards him and boldly wrapped her arms around his neck.
She pulled him away from the door and slammed it shut.

Ning Tangxi had tried to contact Huo Nanchen, but his phone was off. The calm expression on her face disappeared. Huo Nanchen had treated her well when he had picked her up from the airport. Why was he not answering his phone? Could it be that he was with Gu Ruochu?
"Madam Ning, Miss Gu has booked a flight back to the country tonight."
When she heard the news from one of her assistants, Ning Tangxi was certain that Huo Nanchen was not by Gu Ruochu's side.
However, Ning Tangxi was even more terrified by the news. What if Zhang Yuan and Gu Ruochu had set up a meeting? Wouldn't her mother succeed in transferring all her shares to her biological daughter? There would be nothing left for her and Ning Zongxuan.
"Bring Cheng Xi! We'll return to the country immediately." Ning Tangxi made up her mind and instructed her assistant.
At five o'clock in the evening, Gu Ruochu came back to her senses. Her flight would be leaving at ten o'clock that night. She had to get ready and rush to the airport.
