"What business do you have with the Huo family?"
Gu Ruochu's cold tone caught Gu Yanwei off guard. However, she maintained a smile on her face. "In a few days, I'll be accompanying Huo Nanchen to compete for a project overseas. It's not a big deal, but I've had a lot of misunderstandings with you over the past few days. I was afraid that you might overthink things, so I wanted to let you know in advance."
Gu Yanwei tried her best to make the situation less awkward.
Gu Ruochu elegantly and quietly ate the food on her plate and coldly ignored her.
Gu Yanwei did not get angry. Instead, she smiled helplessly from the side.
Mrs. Huo looked at Gu Ruochu and said, "Ruochu, you know how Nanchen feels. He would never take another look at a woman who has nothing to do with him. Don't misunderstand him when it comes to work."
She had been observing their relationship keenly.
Now that things looked to be improving, she must not allow Ruochu to have any unnecessary misunderstandings about Nanchen. Even though she now hated Gu Yanwei, her talents were still recognized by Huo Zhenggang.
Mrs. Huo hoped that Gu ruochu would be able to distinguish between Huo Nanchen's work and personal life.

Gu Ruochu hated her sister even more. Now that she had proved that she could not be easily separated from Huo Nanchen, she did not want Gu Yanwei to succeed.

Mrs. Huo did not object. When the two sisters stepped out of the door, Gu Yanwei's expression changed. She glared fiercely at Gu Ruochu. "Gu Ruochu, even if your brain was damaged from the car accident and you are no longer as stupid as you were before, you can forget about fighting me. If I can take away your mother, I can take away everything from you step by step!"
"Sister, I've never thought of fighting you." Gu Ruochu's tone sounded sincere.
"Stop pretending in front of me!"
Gu Yanwei scoffed coldly and walked out of the garden. When she saw a few wealthy ladies and socialites walking in her direction, her cold expression quickly returned to normal.
Usually, socialites would often visit the Huo residence just to build a relationship with the Huo family with the hope of getting good opportunities for their children.
When Gu Ruochu saw how quickly her sister's face had changed, she wanted to applaud and cheer for her.
"Hey, isn't this Lady Gu?"
A wealthy lady clearly recognized Gu Yanwei and remembered she had made a fool of herself at the banquet. When she saw Gu Ruochu standing by the entrance, she could not help but want to use this opportunity to curry favor with Madam Huo. The lady used all her firepower to mock Gu Yanwei.
