When Mrs. Huo heard that her son had woken up, she quickly instructed Nanny Zhang to prepare some porridge and light food for him, which she would take to the hospital.
"He's finally awake!" Gu Ruochu could not believe it. She thought that it was just an illusory dream.
When she had last seen Huo Nanchen, the doctors had told her that he wouldn't recover from his coma.
She had almost lost hope after receiving the discouraging news.
Yang Xi understood Gu Ruochu's emotions as she listened to her calm but choked voice. She patted her shoulder comfortingly and said, "All right. Let's go to the hospital."

When they arrived at the hospital, Gu Ruochu rushed towards the VIP ward and pushed the door to Huo Nanchen's room. Several doctors were instructing Li Tezhu when Gu Ruochu barged in.
When he saw her, Huo Nanchen's initially quiet and distant demeanor changed. His gaze softened, and his eyes lit up.
"Young Madam." Li Tezhu could not hide his excitement as he smiled at her.
"Huo Nanchen?"
"Come here." Huo Nanchen's deep voice sounded powerful.
Gu Ruochu's eyes were fixed on Huo Nanchen as she walked towards the bed.
Huo Nanchen sat up on the bed. His mysterious aura had not changed, and he was still as handsome as ever. Gu Ruochu finally accepted the fact that Huo Nanchen had recovered from his coma.
"You're awake!"
Gu Ruochu voice was heavy with emotion. All the bitterness that had welled up in her heart had disappeared.
"Yes. I'm awake."
Gu Ruochu buried herself in his embrace, and Huo Nanchen wrapped his arms around her back.
"You're finally awake!"
"Yes. I'm awake."
Li Tezhu realized that the couple needed some privacy, and he winked at the doctors. "Shall we talk outside?"
They all smiled at each other and left the room.
Huo Nanchen lowered his eyes and stroked Gu Ruochu's head. "You've been so gentle to me. Is it because I've just woken up, or do you still want me?"
Huo Nachen had recalled that he had been arguing with Gu Ruochu before he got into the accident.
Gu Ruochu was surprised by Huo Nanchen's question. She did not know how to answer him.
"It's good that you're awake."
All of a sudden, Gu Ruochu quickly stood up after she remembered that Huo Nanchen was still weak. "Are you hungry? I'll get you a glass of water first."
"Don't go." Huo Nanchen reached out and pulled her back into his embrace. He hugged her tightly and said in a low and hoarse voice, "Ruochu."
Gu Ruochu's heartbeat quickened significantly, and a throbbing feeling overwhelmed her heart.
She was afraid that she would press her body against his wounds, but Huo Nanchen hugged her tightly and did not seem to have any intention of letting go.
"Don't go. Stay with me for a while."
Huo Nanchen sighed with a sense of satisfaction and affection. Gu Ruochu could feel the muscles on his body tense up as he tightened his grip around her waist. She had no choice but to rest her chin against his shoulder.
His arms were still as strong as before.
"Don't move. Don't you know that you're injured?"
"All right. I won't move if you promise not to leave."
Gu Ruochu trembled. Huo Nanchen's hot breath burned her face, but she couldn't look away.
Mrs. Huo and Yang Xi rushed towards the ward to see Huo Nanchen. When Mrs. Huo saw the couple in a deep embrace, she quietly closed the door and led Yang Xi towards the waiting area.
The two lovebirds embraced for some time before Gu Ruochu remembered that Huo Nanchen had just woken up. "You should eat. You've just recovered from your coma."
