Yang Xi ignored the burning pain in her back and ran frantically towards the garden. She planned to escape through the hole she had discovered along the garden fence.
Yang Chen was anxiously waiting for his sister on the other side of the fence. The dark weather made him more anxious. He didn't want An Shaosi to discover him.
"Brother!"
When Yang Chen saw Yang Xi crawling through the fence hole, he grabbed her hand and said excitedly, "Let's go. I've parked my car nearby."
Yang Xi's legs were still shaking, and there was no joy on her face. "Brother, I heard breathing at the window. Let's go now!"
Yang Xi did not know if An Shaosi had seen her escape.
A loud clap of thunder scared Yang Xi. She pulled her brother and ran. "Brother, let's get out of here!"
"Don't be afraid. You're already out. I'll protect you."
Yang Xi let out a sigh of relief and followed Yang Chen. However, when they arrived at the spot where Yang Chen had parked his car, they froze on the spot.
A man in a dark coat stood in front of the car, while another man was standing behind him holding an umbrella. The man in the coat was holding two leashes in his hand.
A malicious smile formed on the man's face.
The two ferocious Tibetan Mastiffs beside growled viciously. Yang Xi grabbed Yang Chen's arm tightly. "An Shaosi, why did you bring your dogs? You know that they are very dangerous."
"Yes. They are capable of biting someone to death," An Shaosi replied casually. "So, Yang Xi, do you still want to escape?"
An Shaosi's gaze did not shift from Yang Xi.
He knew that she would try and escape that night, but he had not stopped her. He had laid a trap for her, and she had easily fallen into it.
"An Shaosi, I thank you for saving me from marrying Yang Ziyu." The heavy raindrops hit Yang Xi's face, but she still smiled brightly. "I've troubled you for long enough, so I asked my brother to come and get me."
An Shaosi burst into laughter. "Haven't I told you that I want you? Why won't you marry me? Why are you running away?"
"I won't marry you!"
Yang Xi could not suppress her anger.
A marriage without love was like a grave. Moreover, An Shaosi was dark and mysterious. It was hard to trust him.
"I want you to marry me! Mrs. An, do you think that the man beside you can protect you?"
An Shaosi suddenly released the two leashes in his hand. The Tibetan Mastiffs excitedly pounced on Yang Xi and her brother.
"No!" Yang Xi screamed. She tried to pull back her brother from the dogs.
An Shaosi's gaze was indifferent. The two Tibetan Mastiffs bit Yang Chen's leg, and their sharp teeth cut through his skin.
"Brother..."
Yang Xi was in complete despair. She realized that she couldn't escape from An Shaosi.
"So, Mrs. An, do you want to come over?
"You know that I'm not a normal person. Come over."
An Shaosi had lost his patience.
Yang Xi grabbed Yang Chen's hand and sobbed, "Brother, you should go back. Go back now!"
