"Young Madam, are you still going in?" The security guard was baffled when he saw Gu Ruochu standing motionless at the door.
Gu Ruochu snapped out of her daze. She shook her head and dialed a number on her phone.
"Hello."
"Huo Nanchen, are you still in the office?" Gu Ruochu's voice was hoarse. "Zhou Yunxi fell ill. I'll go and see what's going on. I'm afraid I won't be having lunch with you."
Huo Nanchen's brows twitched when he heard Zhou Yunxi's name. "Wait for me in the car. I'll go with you."
Gu Ruochu hesitated for a moment before replying, "All right. I'll wait for you in the car."

Huo Nanchen and Gu Ruochu drove to Zhou Yunxi's apartment.
When she stepped out of the car, Gu Ruochu quickly headed to the door and made it up the stairs.
The room was dark. Zhou Yunxi was cowering as she hid in a corner. Aunt Xu was trying to coax her, but she was unsuccessful.
Gu Ruochu waded through the untidy room.
She saw Zhou Yunxi's wheelchair lying on the ground. The dim light coming through the curtains gave her goosebumps.
It was as if a pair of eyes were staring at Huo Nanchen and Gu Ruochu.
"Ah!"
Something brushed against Gu Ruochu's feet and frightened her. Huo Nanchen wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace to comfort her. "It's okay. It's probably a rat."
"Miss Gu, did you bring your bodyguard?" Aunt Xu looked overwhelmed. "Quick, help me grab her. She just poured detergent into her mouth and swallowed it."

He winked at the few bodyguards beside him. "Open the curtains and find her."
The bodyguards pulled back the curtains, and Zhou Yunxi let out a heart-wrenching laugh as she cowered in the corner of the room.
"There she is! She's in the corner on the left!"
Gu Ruochu was scared when she heard Zhou Yunxi's deranged laughter.
The bodyguards slowly approached her. When they saw that she had no intention of attacking them, they quickly stepped forward and shackled her.
