The air vibrated as the music filled the room. An ocean of bodies in constant motion moving along to the rhythm of the drum.
Geometric shapes and esoteric designs filled the walls through and assortment of lasers and LED walls.
The music seemed alive as the man behind the decks played one track after the other, sometimes even playing both together and a third one just for measure.
Despite the cool summer night and the air conditioning units littered all over the room to keep everyone cool, sweat dripped like fountains as people gyrated to the music.
Screaming across the LED walls was the word MASS, as if it was meant for everyone to follow it's orders and congregate on the dance floor.
As the synthesisers blasted through the air with the 808 bass rocking through their bodies, time seemed to flow ever so quickly yet become an eternity as the party eventually hit its end.
With a slight echo, the final note faded as the lights slowly turned on and rushed the darkness away.
As quickly as the crowd rushed in, they cleared the floor in just the same time. The DJ himself was still packing up and saying his goodbyes to everyone who came up to him to shake his hand and thank him for the night.
Edward slowly waited for his turn before he reached the DJ and shook his hand. The DJ was a tall dark skinned man with a full beard and short hair.
If he didn't smile you wouldn't think he was friendly, but throughout the night from the start to the end there was never a moment where he did not smile.
The feeling he gave off was that of serenity, as if he had found the balance of his wants and needs and was now tasked with helping others find theirs.
"I loved your set tonight. I wanted to ask if it's possible for me to ever do what you did tonight."
Edward said while holding his hand. The DJ smiled back and said, "Of course it is, all you need is practice and hard work."
"How can I start?"
"All you need to do is come back tomorrow afternoon, look for me, Mass, and I'll see what we can do. Welcome to the Senter"
Still a little star struck at what happened, Edward looked up above Mass and saw the words SENTER printed in a bold font above the DJ Booth.
It wasn't visible with the smoke and lasers in the dark but now with the florescent lights on it stood out and commanded attention.
It was at that moment, he knew what he had to do.
