Required to demonstrate skills in order to attain a path to survival, Shandy prepared himself mentally before accepting any tasks desired off of him.
But when Erolyn handed him the account book for the shop, he was baffled, baffled by its sheer simplicity.Consisting of a task that could be done by middle schoolers, he believed that there must be something more to it.
Seeing him baffled, Erolyn mistook it for a his failure to comprehend it, and she arrogantly stated,"I managed to create it after months of hardwork, if you can comprehend even a bit of it, I'll give you this job."
After a few seconds of pondering, he decided to rewrite the whole account book into a more modern format.
At the beginning, Erolyn though that he was just writing nonsensical stuff in order to fool her, yet, examining his work more closely, an expression of confusion, and then one of enlightenment shone over her.
She stared at him in awe and confusion; in awe of the manner in which he formatted the account book and the speed in which he did so, yet, she was confused as to how someone like him was capable of such stuff.
But her feelings didn't hold her back long, and like an experienced merchant, she quickly regained her composure and said," I think you should be capable of doing this job, but even then, you'll still have to learn about the books and in which manner to arrange them."
Delighted by the fact that he had obtained a job, Shandy cared not for anything she said anymore, nor for anything that would happen, and asked for a resource he desired immensely, a resource essential to any human being, a resource called food.
Surprised by his sudden request, she thought for a bit before heading into a room, and soon, a sweet smell wafted from there, along with which she returned, and a bowl of some strange food he had never seen.
With hunger, any food would suit the human taste, and a delicacy such as this would make anyone glad to be alive. And so, he feasted.
