"I can't believe you tried to hurt Maxen," Olivia tutted and shook her head in dismay at Oliver.
Stopping in his tracks, Oliver dipped his hand in his pocket and cocked an eyebrow at Olivia. "Just so you know, I'm not even sorry about it."
"That's not a surprise. You were never apologetic about anything."
Oliver shrugged. There was no way Olivia would understand him for he knew her loyalty lay with Maxen's and not with him. "He's the one who owes me an apology. Not me." Putting a period on their conversation, he moved on and headed inside ahead of Olivia.
"Wow." Olivia's mouth hung open and she couldn't believe what she heard from Oliver. "Are you serious? I don't get it, Ollie. Why were you so riled up? Are you secretly in love with Maxen? Because I seriously can't come up with a reason why you went berserk earlier."
"Maybe I was." Oliver shrugged yet again, and it annoyed the heck out of Olivia.
