Fortunately, Rin was able to make it in time for the first period of class as he arrived just on a nick of time, moments before their Homeroom instructor, Samantha Stone entered the classroom to begin the English period.
But it seems that she won't be teaching right away in this case as she does not put out her English Book and started writing the important points in the blackboard as what the class has accustomed to, much to their genuine confusion.
"Alright class, I have a very important announcement to make." Samantha in her strict tone got the whole class of 1-D's attention. "I would like to remind you all of the upcoming school foundation festival that will be held about a month and a half from now."
Indeed, the whole class got their interest instantly glued on the black-haired teacher at the mention of such an exciting event, their faces now lighting up with pure enthusiasm and everyone chattering with each other cheerfully.
Samantha immediately cleared her throat loudly for the whole class to hear. In an instant, the entirety of 1-D came to a quiet halt, not wanting to irk their strict homeroom instructor any further hence they risk her wrath… and detention.
"I understand your excitement ladies." Samantha sighed deeply as she crossed her arms in stern scolding. "After all, you are all still first-year students. So it's natural that you can't contain your excitement since it is your first time participating in such prestigious and grand event."
"But you are not simply mere participants." The homeroom instructor added, this time with an even more solid voice that offers conviction behind her every word. "Each and every one of you ladies shall be having the esteemed privilege of being one of the organizers of the festival, bringing forth the greatness and prominence of our beloved Academy to the whole public for them to witness and partake. As such, the Academy… our Academy only expects nothing but the best out of us. With your very own fingertips, you girls can mold the festival as you see fit, revealing the elegance, beauty, and creativity that Rosemary Academy has ever known for throughout the entire Kingdom."
"I will not sugarcoat you, ladies." The Cold Beauty of the Faculty continues her speech to the whole class, eyeing them all meticulously with cold sophistication. "Days and nights will be spent on intense trials. Sacrifices are to be made. In addition to your normal class schedules, you are also to dedicate your free time and hours in preparation for the school event."
Samantha could now see some of the girls groaning in annoyance, not wanting their precious free time to be compromised. Although, she has also noted that some also have a look of determination, their desire to be a part of something big must be the driving point that will definitely push them off from their comfort zone.
Especially one student who is showing to be very ecstatic as she… he expressed obvious giddiness in his feminine face, definitely excited for the upcoming event.
'The School Festival huh.' Rin could not help but grin widely at the prospect. 'I may have seen it once or twice in those TV dramas or animations that Hannie forces me to watch with her during the weekends in the Brotherhood. If the festival is as grand as they seem as what they are showing on T.V. then this will be fun hehehe.'
Being a transfer student and all, perhaps Rina Mayfield's reaction might not be that surprising as what Samantha thought, opting to continue her speech to the entire class.
"So I ask you these, daughters of Rosemary." Samantha asks, her sharp gaze as if her eyes are peering in their souls with a hardened resolve. "Are you up for the challenge?"
The girls turned to look one another, seemingly asking for confirmation as they cling for assurance, for someone to answer for them.
"Of course, Ms. Stone!! We'll see to it that everything will go according to the standards set by our beloved Academy."
They all turned to look at the source of the voice.
It was no other than their Class representative of 1-D, Kana Erendal, who took the initiative and answer on behalf of the entire class, her posture, and demeanor confident in every single way as she stood up from her desk with utmost integrity that can never be broken.
The whole class then widen their eyes, faces now brightening up like the sunshine when they saw her leading the charge.
Morals boosted, the girls now wholeheartedly agrees with the brown-haired heiress, also expressing their approval and are certainly assured since it is, after all, someone who they hold very high regard with.
Of course, being the daughter of the Headmaster, the class beamed, confident that they will get through the preparations with someone like Kana leading and organizing them for the upcoming festival.
Samantha merely nodded with approval, gracing a subtle but challenging smile on her beautiful face. "We'll see ladies. As I said earlier, I expect nothing but the best from you. Hopefully, you won't disappoint."
"Yes, ma'am!!" The whole class answered quickly in enthusiasm.
"Good." Then Samantha added. "Let me explain the basic idea of what you are going to be doing concerning the preparations. Each of the classes is going to demonstrate their creativity and innovation in showcasing the public by decorating the classroom and coming up with any ideas as you see fit. There will be a contest. To ignite your spirit of competitive drive, the top classes who excels in their respective year levels in regards of their classroom design and public attraction will be granted a special one week vacation on the luxurious Von'laden Astoria Hotel in the Full Moon district, sponsored by our good Student Council President, Princess Lunaria herself. All of you will be having the chance to live in there and interact with the most esteemed of nobles and even the Royal Family themselves, as all of you will also be granted the same privileges as them, thus becoming nobles temporarily for a week."
At the prize being mentioned, a blaze of motivated fire suddenly burst intensely in their very eyes, now even determined more than ever in performing the very best of their abilities.
"Oh my gosh!! A noble?!!"
"The Von'laden Astoria Hotel?! You mean the grandest 5-star hotel in all of the kingdom?!"
"Wow!! I always wanted to step foot deep inside the Full Moon district!!"
"Wait, isn't the hotel owned by that bitch Erica's father?"
"Oh, who cares!! We get to live the life of luxury after all!!!"
"You hear that ladies?!" Kana further motivated the whole class even more. "If we win the contest, then all of us are going to practically be royalty!! Let's give it our all!!!"
"YEAH!!!!" The whole class cheered together as they raised their fist in unison.
Samantha smiled in satisfaction at seeing her students fired up like never before.
"And before I forgot..." The homeroom instructor said. "In aligning with these and for more time in preparing, the curfew starting today will be extended until 11 pm. Make use of the time wisely and don't get any funny ideas."
"Yes, ma'am!!" They once more answered, this time with even more enthusiasm.
While this was going on, Rin though was having some deep thoughts as he mumbled something soft only heard by himself.
"Noble huh..."
The boy could only frown, for reasons that he just can't quite place at...
Somehow, the word brought a certain distaste as he uttered every syllable.
