Chapter 4 - Training? Try Torture

"So let me make sure I've got things straight. The guy I hit with a door earlier is your fiance who you don't want to marry or have anything to do with at all. Also due to the pressuring your family and your brother have authorised a Rating Game between your peerages and you want me and my deck to help train you. You realize how insane that sounds?" It was an hour and a half later, after a lot of yelling and fighting things have finally calmed down with the fried chicken and he recently left after giving Rias a handicap of ten days since this was her first Rating Game, unofficial as it was since she's not old enough to compete for real.

Because the situation is so personally dire she's begged the resident Seraph to help get her and her peerage stronger in time for the upcoming game as she fears she won't be able to get them ready on her own. "Alright I'll do it, this'll give me a good opportunity to help train Issei with his Sacred Gear more, hopefully it'll help him reach Balance Breaker a lot quicker."

"Thank you. I know this is a lot asking you to help me after how I've acted but this is my only option, I'm completely desperate as Riser's never been defeated before." Rias said with a pleading look, but something told the Angel that she was hiding something. Vanishing in a flash of light in the form of a cross he went to inform his deck of what their assignment for a week is to be.

"Come on Issei, it's just a simple hike up a small hill." Issei gave a sharp glare to the high ranking Angel as he tried to climb up the aforementioned hill while carrying a large sack that had gravity spells placed on it that increased the weight every five minutes. It was done after someone complained about it being too easy. So far none of the devils had managed to complete the task, the closest one being the rook because of her boosted strength, but the others weren't doing much better.

The members of his deck were used to it so they had already completed and were doing some light sparing to pass the time. Arashi was sorely tempted to throw some light spears of encouragement their way if they didn't pick up the pace, but refrained as that would more likely have the opposing effect.

"Now that everyone is done wasting my afternoon we can begin breaking up into groups. Those who you are assigned to will be your partners for the week. But if you slack off or complain once than it is up to you to train yourself for the fight." He said in a tone that heavily indicated he was dead serious.

Akeno and Rias would be working with Dulio, Kiba Jeanne, Koneko with Irina, and Issei with Leonardo.

To say that the training was intense would be an understatement.

Dulio was brutal in pushing the King and Queen duo in order to get them to learn how to master the amount of power and control that went into their techniques which took the most of four days to do.

Since Jeanne and Kiba's sacred gear worked under pretty much the same context it was a more simpler matter in his training to boost his speed and strike efficiency. Although it wasn't on the margin they were hoping for since he was more animalistic than focused, while Arashi knew why he still couldn't help but be disappointed.

Koneko bailed out on Irina after the third day and opted to do her own training. While it was expected something bugged him the whole time but he didn't press, her reasons were her own.

Issei's was the most fun to watch. He even made several recordings to use as blackmai-, research purposes. Each day Leonardo would train Issei in using his Boosted Gear by assaulting him with different monsters of size, technique, and attribute.

In a sadistically teasing way the first test was against a stampede of female dragonewts with ice magic. Since dragonewts resembled humans with dragon powers it made it even more funny how he'd half run away in terror, and half oogle them for their assets.

Days like this he really pitied the White Dragon Emperor, knowing that the boredom upon seeing the moron might kill him faster than a light spear coated with Samael's poison could.
