Alexander went to the nearby counter and knocked on the desk gently. The female attendant there looked up and asked with a frown when she saw that this young guy was not in the queue, "What can I do mister?"
Though there was annoyance audible in her words, she still didn't express it on her face. She won't do anything until she finds out the motive of this young man. If he was really cutting the queue to get things early, then he must be dreaming.
Alexander naturally didn't mind it. Even though he was the owner, no one recognizes him apart from Yang Tao and his gang. He smiled embarrassedly and stated his reason slowly, "Miss, I am a friend of Mr. Yang Tao, can you please call him out. I need to talk to him."
The young female attendant was surprised but she still nodded and turned to call her boss. Though this slaughterhouse was big and was earning quite a good sum of money, at last it was still just a slaughterhouse. Why can't her boss have friends? He wasn't some cold aloof CEO from those novels neither was she the CEO's assistant who will stop people from meeting the boss, so she went ahead to call him. If the boy outside was really his friend then it's ok, but if he was not then also it's nothing related to her.
After a minute went by, she returned and replied with a slight formal smile, "Mister, my boss is on the way, can you please stand aside and clear the path for the customers."
'Yes! This is how employees should be. Not like Luke. Yang Tao should hire more employees like her.'
Alexander nodded with a thought and then stepped aside to wait. Though he was impatient, he still didn't say anything out as the attendant must have already told Yang Tao about this, and he'll be here as soon as he gets free.
Though he was the boss, Alexander knew how hardworking Yang Tao must have been to turn this previously desolate slaughterhouse into a place which seems like a gathering place for feast. So he didn't mind Yang Tao being late.
As the smell of blood was slowly mixing out in the air, he heard faint footsteps coming from his back. He turned and saw a middle aged asian man walking towards him with a smile plastered on his face as his oversized Hawaiian shirt and shorts were fluttering in the air.
This… is this Yang Tao?
Alexander's lips twitched and his mental image of hardworking Yang Tao from the time he first saw him in the slaughterhouse, shattered.
If we ignore his slim body and imagine him as someone with a bit more fat, then he'll definitely look like "Fluffy"!
This man was just too different… while his face and hairstyle were still the same, the aura and mood surrounding him was completely different from the past.
The Yang Tao back then was a serious man with a solemn expression, covered in the hardworking sweat and blood but this was a cheerful man in a holiday mood.
Like taking a stroll on the beach, Yang Tao reached him while Alexander was lost in his own thoughts. He cheerfully cupped his fist after seeing it was Alexander and greeted him with a loud voice, "So it's you, Boss Alexander. Welcome back."
"..."
Though speechless Alexander nodded his head and also cupped his hands in response. His actions were a bit rusty but that was due to the fact that he was still imagining things and comparing this Yang Tao to his past. Qqq
The female attendant who called Yang Tao was surprised, while she heard some rumours like Boss Yang Tao being just a manager while the real owner was someone else, from the old workers, she never believed it.
But now it turns out there really was another high-level boss. And he was also so young.
She broke out in cold sweat when she thought about her thoughts of chasing Alexander away.
Yes! She did wanted to follow the usual cliche of the attendant trying to chase the poor customer away but because of something like a voice from her inside stopped her from doing so this time.
Phew~ she saved her job based on her instinct.
"I know you are surprised looking at me like this, but trust me there's reason for all of this." Yang Tao looked at the expression of Alexander and slowly spoke with a smile.
'Reason? I want to know it too.'
Alexander nodded and signalled Yang Tao to lead somewhere else, obviously he can't speak with Yang Tao here.
Soon the duo walked off and disappeared from the view of the crowd outside. They entered a living quarter outside and went towards the basement.
While they were walking, no one spoke but as they were nearing the door to the basement, Alexander heard someone speaking.
He paused and his expression changed. He instantly turned towards Yang Tao who also stopped because of him and asked, "Damn! He's in the same team?"
