Alexander reached the familiar big black door of the 'Daily Local Market' and entered it after a moment of thinking just like the last time. Passing through the tight dark corridor filled with humans dressed up in various types of clothes, he was feeling kind of excited thinking about the reform of the slaughterhouse and the strength he will acquire after using this medicine.
He was not crazy about something like the heaven-defying, extraordinary, strength, just like those main characters of shallow all fight and no plot novels. All he wanted was to live longer and not die miserably in some corner of some weird warehouse after exhaustion like his predecessor.
Passing the dark corridor, he entered the broad, lit-up market, decorated with colorful and shining vegetables and fruits. He didn't pay much attention to all this and went straight towards the back door, which will lead him to the new heaven, 'slaughterhouse.'
The moment he exited the back door, he was dumbfounded. He had an expression of a goat seeing a deer eating a lion.
Fu*k! Did it change this much, so fast?
He cursed inwardly as he remembered when it was the time he last visited here. At that time, it was just a huge building surrounded by the black, see-through, metal grill with few customers counters and a few small houses attached in a corner.
But currently, the scene in front of him was totally different. The vast, yet crude slaughterhouse from before was replaced with an even massive building with more than five customer counters compared to the previous three counters. The building wasn't just a single ground floor like in the past; there were two more floors on the top of it, looking just like an apartment made for residential purposes.
Overall, even though the sharp rusty smell of blood was still lingering in the surrounding air, the feel it was giving had changed. Now with the majestic building, the air feels not as bad and creepy. To Alexander, strangely, this slightly rusty smell was toxic! He felt like he was smelling some roses or lilies.
Alexander didn't know how Yang Tao managed to achieve it, but he was quite satisfied with everything.
Calming his heart down, Alexander carried his huge sack as he approached the relatively empty counter. This was the counter situated where the previous door was. He was not able to find the entrance of the slaughterhouse directly and was thus left with no other option than to ask for help from the counter.
The queue surrounding the counter was even thicker than before, showing the growing brand value and awareness of the slaughterhouse. People were also coming and leaving the place with a smile; no one was trying to create any trouble.
Standing in the short queue, Alexander smiled and nodded his head, "Yang Tao is really good at management. He manages this big place so efficiently."
Even he forgot that he overlooked the fact that Yang Tao was actually the assistant of his own super powerful and perfect cousin Leo. A man of such quality, how can he have a poor assistant?
Even a gardener in the Joseph household was talented in some simple management skills. How can Yang Tao be ordinary with his job post? It was only Alexander who was just… Leave it; there's nothing to talk about him. He was just a piece of shi*t!
Some people might even suspect that Alexander was an abandoned, adopted child, but that's not really the case; he was really a child of the Joseph house. Alexander's father himself proved this fact. He even did a DNA test for this; he wasn't suspecting his wife or something like that, he just thought, what if his child was switched? He really can't connect Alexnder with his super genes.
But it was proved he's pure-blooded Joseph!
The queue moved ahead as Alexander came out of his thoughts and moved in front of the counter. The man ahead of him really took so much time. It was enough time to brew all the drugs available in his sack crudely.
'Sigh, this is tiring.' He exhaled as he lifted his face with a frustrated yet a bit smiling face to look at the staff positioned in the customer counter, but then, the next second, he was stunned; the smile on his face also froze.
"This face… is familiar."
