Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Siren's Song

As he wandered the forest for the seventh time that day, Vermont watched as the sun set over a forgotten valley grooved upon Mt Goodbye's land. He had been coming there for almost a month to listen to it.

When the sun finally set and all that was left was the beautiful moon, it finally happened. The sound of a saintly voice drifted upon the wind. He followed the voice of the siren.

As he reached it's source he hid behind a tree and watched as a woman with long silver hair that framed her oval shaped face and pale grey eyes sat upon a stone near a lake.

She was dressed in the same white dress she had the night before and any other night since he'd been there, and sat upon the same grey and dreary stone near the same blue lake that reflected the same moon that never changed.

She'd always begin by talking to herself in the same hollow and empty voice, then suddenly it would happen. A faint, but highly discernable voice would whisper a song through the trees of the Mt Goodbye forests.

"Let the tears of the moon drip upon you hollow,

and the breath of the wind blow upon your skin.

Let the wild of nature draw upon your heart,

and the spirit of the earth reside within.

Come sing my song with me,

and let yourself be set free.

Don't forget to not wander too far,

but also don't forget to drift.

Let your body be cast away,

and let this song give you mind a lift.

Listen to my song of freedom,

and hollow and broken thing.

Freedom is for those with a steady heart,

and not a simple fling.

So if you hear this song of mine,

lift your own voice...

and sing!"

Suddenly, the forest came to life all at once, and the trees began to sway. Vermont looked around in awe as glowing blue butterflies came in groups of millions and danced around the lake.

Out of the wind came deer known as Flow Riders. The earth cracked open and out came rabbits know as Ground Shattering Thumpers. Fire appeared over the lake and out flew fiery descendents of phoenixes known as Flame Children.

Then everything settled down as finally, out of the water, swam the wicked kin of mermaids, the sirens. Even though all these creatures seemed beautiful and harmless all of them were byproducts of dark magic.

The only reason Vermont was still there was actually because he had no knowledge of this or even what these things were. He was actually an eight year old orphan with no knowledge and could barely speak audible words.

After taking a look around his eyes landed back on the beautiful grey woman. When they did, they found a grey pair of eyes staring back. He blushed and quickly hid behind the tree, panting hard.

On the other hand (Grey Lady's POV)

'Hm... I wonder who he is.' She thought to herself then turned back towards all the animals she'd called.

'It seems I've grown these past six months... albeit slowly.' Laura thought to herself. She'd been in this world for only half a year and had already made herself public enemy number one by killing some snake looking thing with wings.

'Open missions,'

[ Main Mission:

- Show them what they have to deal with.

Show the people of this world how much of an evil witch you can be.

Rewards: ?, ?

Penalties: Death

Time limit: 1 year

Side Quest(s):

Currently, she was working on Side quest number 2, which could also/maybe help with the main quest.

She forgot all about the young boy for a moment and turned to face the animals that were currently either poisonous or just plain old dangerous.

With a demanding voice she spoke evenly, "Go to the nearest village and attack, leave nothing behind. Also, make sure everyone somehow knows it was my doing," and once the final orders were given, the animals left the same way they came.

Laura had learned that she was actually not a regular half demon when she learned of her racial trait skills.

'Racial trait skills'

[Racial Skills of Demonic Nature Spirit Demon:

Call of the Forsaken: Allows user to call upon the creatures of the wild that have been Forsaken by the human race in a set radius around user and use them for personal gain.

The last skill reminded her of an anime skill from her old world, F'@+y Law.

Of course she'd never used it... She currently didn't even know how to use the damn thing...
