Chapter 42 - DON'T LEAVE ME (Jung Hoseok FF) 2

I stumbled getting out of bed. I held my head. Alcohol isn't good for health. And I found that out for the millionth time already. Where the hell am I? I'm wearing my clothes so...-

My thoughts are interrupted when a door opens.

"H-hi um you passed out last night... and I didn't want to leave you there, on the road. So, I brought you to my apartment." She smiled nervously.

"You shouldn't let a grown man drunk man home. It's dangerous." Why do I even care?

"You looked pretty harmless...and I felt bad. About last night, I shouldn't have run to you with my problems."

I chuckled at how wrong she was. Saving her was one of the best things I think I have ever done. As I sit here and stare at her I don't know why... I feel this way about this person. Why I would be so willing to give my life in order to protect you?

"Well, I don't regret it. Not even a little bit." I looked at her and she held my stare before looking away.

"I'll get you some water..." she said before excusing herself. Then, she quickly ran to the kitchen.

How can someone be so cute? I smiled to myself. She quickly came back with some tea.

"Hm, tea? I don't enjoy tea. But, thank you." I took it anyway. I hate tea it is so bitter. But she was sweet to look at, the bitterness couldn't be felt on my tongue. Or perhaps I have burnt my tongue. Then, she smiled at me. Yup, I definitely have lost my mind.

"What's your name?" She asked. I'm a stranger who helped her. Of course, she wants to know.

"Hoseok, Jung Hoseok," I said calmly.

"So boring, hmm, I'll have to come up with a nickname for you!" I smiled at her my heart is softening. I nodded although I hated nicknames usually. I know this time will be no different.

"I still prefer Hoseok" I stated she chuckled messing my hair up. My body tensed. Buty quickly calmed down as she moved her hand back with an apologetic smile.

"Sorry," She murmured. "Are you hungry?" She asked. I nodded.

Before she could leave I asked her name.

"What's your name?"

She smiled looking back at me nervous her body tensed.

"Mi Rae," she gave me a quick smile before running into the kitchen.

Is she lying? Her body is speaking for her. She's lying. My expression hardened but it softened again. Does it have something to do with that guy? Is she scared that if she told me her name someone would hurt her again? Before I could think about it longer, she places fried chicken right in front of me.

"Sorry, I only had this, leftovers from last night." She apologizes again. She needs to stop saying that.

"Mmm," I moaned at the beautiful taste in my mouth. Food is truly so beautiful.

"It's good, right? I don't even understand why people do drugs and smoke! Chicken is obviously the best!" She grinned after stating so. I wanted to ruffle up her soft hair but resisted. What the hell was wrong with me?

"You're right chicken is the best." I smiled softly looking at her as she nodded her head in agreement.

Why would anyone want to hurt you?

But eventually, I had to leave grabbing my coat and leaving her door with her phone number saved on my phone.
