A small glass containing half finished whiskey flew towards Jayden. He dodged it and it flew past him, hitting the wall and breaking into tiny pieces. The contents stained the back of his shirt though. A few fragments even pierced his back but he didn't show a change of expression at the moment.
"Useless! You are nothing but a useless brat!" his father shouted in fury. "Such a golden opportunity to marry a billionaire and you let it slip through your finger to catch a piece of garbage? Are you out of your mind? Where was Arianna Reid lacking? In terms of beauty, wealth, and power, even in temperament, she is definitely better than her sister! But you chose to abandon her like this? You offended and humiliated her to this extent! Do you think she would let us off just like that? We're finished Jayden! And it's all because of you!". He was his only son. The hope of their family. He was his successor. But he was a failure. He was a total disappointment.
Jayden furrowed his brows. The man has been scolding him since he entered the living room but he couldn't refute. Beside the middle age man sat his mother. In the past, she would always coax his father to let him off but today, she was silently sitting there without any interest to interfere for him. Displeasure was written all over her face. She wouldn't even look at him. He disappointed his parents very much.
"I'm sorry Dad..." he uttered.
"Sorry? What can you accomplish by saying that word to us? Can it change anything? I tell you, save your apology for Arianna Reid. Beg her to forgive you. Kowtow to her a hundred times! I don't care what you do but you must get her forgiveness! Even if you can't marry her anymore, at least find a way to appease her anger or we will all die together with you! Did you see how the company was doing? The stocks are falling and we're next!",he nagged.
Claire patted her husband's shoulder. "Take it easy. You've been scolding him for a while now. It's not good for your health." She then finally turned to his son. Her eyes full of discontent. "Leave and settle all the problems immediately. You were the one who caused all this troubles so it's your responsibility to resolve them. Do what you must, but whatever you do, never bring your mistress in front of us. She will forever be an unacceptable trash in our eyes. She's a jinx who only brings misfortune in our family. I hope you get to realize that." She sighed and looked away after saying those words. She has never liked that woman. She's ingenuine and deceptive. Fake people is what she hates the most.
Jayden bowed to his parents before leaving the room. He was confused and disappointed as well. He was clearly muddle-headed when he decided not to show up in his own wedding! He must be crazy for making such unsound decision! It was a moment of temporary insanity! Yes! It must be! But he only becomes that dumb around Belle. Did she do anything to him? She must have fed him something. He must avoid seeing her in the future. Her mother is right. She's a jinx. She was a curse to her family before, and now to his!

Yago slowly opened his eyes. He blinked a few times before looking around the room. He was still in his room. He didn't wake up in a hospital this time.
"Sir, you're awake."
Yago turned to see the source of the voice. He saw Tiger entering the room carrying a bag of infusion. He put it down on the bed before taking down the almost empty bag of IV drip attached to Yago. "Just remove it. You don't have to replace it with a new one." he ordered. "Why are you here?" he asked with a scowl. He was still upset about what happened! He still felt betrayed. Remembering how Arianna must have been married to someone else already, his heart felt painful all of a sudden.
Tiger glanced at his boss before carrying on with his duty. He ignored Yago's words and replaced the drip. "You need this drip to get better. Yesterday, I came to check on you and found you lying unconscious on the floor. The Reids wanted to bring you to the hospital, but I was able to convince them to just call a doctor instead. You're still in hiding so...." Tiger stopped and thought for a while. He then decided to change the topic. He musn't mention Arianna to him yet. It was her order. "Anyway the doctor said your wound was infected and so you had a fever and fainted. But it'll get better soon after some rest." he relayed without making eye contact with him.
Yago stared at the back of his hand where a needle was attached. "I feel useless. Nobody listens to me now huh? I'm so powerless." he muttered. Tiger didn't answer though. Arianna has taken over even the security inside the Green Valley country club. That was the reason Tiger can come in and out without restrictions. But she has a good reason for doing so!
"How is she?" he asked. It was something he wanted to know about the moment he woke up. But he was afraid to hear the truth... Yago turned to Tiger. He furrowed his brows when he noticed his prolonged silence. Why isn't he responding? Was it difficult for him to break the news? "How is the wedding?".he added, urging the other man to say something.
Tiger sighed. He wasn't allowed to tell him his lady boss was kidnapped. But he can tell him about everything else right? "The wedding was cancelled." he replied.
Yago's eyes widened as he stared at the man who was currently busy tidying up the table beside his bed. "How come?"
Tiger still refused to look him in the eye, but he replied honestly. "The groom decided not to come. He chose to be with Arabella Reid."
"Where is Arianna now? Was she upset? She must be feeling down, right? Has she come back yet?" he asked worriedly. He was having mixed feelings about this outcome. He's happy the wedding was cancelled, but he's worried about Arianna's feelings. She hated being humiliated and being abandoned. He wanted to hold her in his arms right now... How he wish he could!
Tiger furrowed his brows. Where is she? He also wished he could answer that question. "Sir, rest assured Miss will be fine. She survived the days you were gone, and you were the world to her. She won't feel defeated just because a cheater abandoned her! She doesn't even like that bug."
"Then why did she want to marry him?" he asked with eyes darkened.
Tiger was stunned. Did he run his mouth off too much? He can't tell him that the wedding was a cover up to distract the enemies. Or he'll realize the whole plan. "For revenge of course! She planned to dump him on the wedding day! My ladyboss is such a smart woman! Why would he marry a jerk for real?" Actually, that was the plan before. But when Arianna found out Yago was still alive, that plan changed. They planned to trap the enemies during the wedding. If the enemies refuse to take the bait, the wedding ceremony will go on and Jayden will be Arianna's husband in name, only it won't be registered. The plan was to hide the fact that Arianna was taking Yago under her wings, and he only appeared at the wedding as a guest. Yago's name shouldn't be tied to her. But with Arianna and Viper's capture this time, Yago would surely kill him if he finds out how much he has kept hidden from him. Sigh...

Outside Jayden's office, a woman was pounding at the door. He was continuously calling Jayden's name while a couple of female employees urged her to stop.
"Where's the security! This woman is out of control!" one of the woman yelled.
Belle struggled from their grip." Let go of me you b*tches! I need to see Jayden! He's my fiance! Don't you know that?" she shouted.
"We already told you the president isn't here. He went out for a dinner meeting!" the woman said as she drag Belle away from the office.
As they were heading for the elevator, two men dressed in security uniform came out from the lift. They took Arabella away at once. The woman shouted and struggled but she couldn't do anything else. They continued to drag her until she whe was thrown out with such big humiliation. "If Jayden finds out how you're all bullying me, you all will lose your job!" Belle continued to yell.
The two men looked at each other before looking back at her and sneered. "It's our fault that you were able to come in. Don't you know that the president instructed us not to let you in? It's our negligence this time. You don't have to put a good word for us." one of them said sarcastically.
Belle was stunned. Jayden banned her from getting in? Was it true?
"I don't believe you! Why would he do that!" she cried out.
The men impatiently drove her away. Belle had no choice but to leave. It's already six in the evening and Jayden most likely won't be back after his dinner meeting anymore. She stood on the sidewalk, thinking of hailing a cab when a black car stopped in front of her. Startled, she failed to notice a man approaching her from behind. The man grabbed her and covered her mouth with a handkerchief until she fainted.
"Get her in." the man driving the black car ordered.
