Yago furrowed his brows. He opened his eyes and turned to the direction where the noise was coming from. On the table beside his bed, just under the lampshade, his phone was ringing incessantly. It was already three o'clock in the morning. Who was crazy enough to call him at this hour? He initially wanted to ignore it but the caller persistently called him three times in a row. Annoyed, he was forced to get up even though he was tired and sleepy.
'This better be important or else I'll kill you', he whispered to himself when he saw the caller ID.
"What is it?" Yago skipped the courtesy and immediately went straight to the point.
"Hello brother! How are you doing!" On the other end of the line, Vier's voice was loud and lively.
"Not good since you're robbing me off of my precious sleep! Now spill it! What do you need?", Yago roared.
Vier suddenly felt awkward when he heard his brother's grumpy voice. He actually forgot that they now live on opposite sides of the planet. When it's daytime in the island, then it's night time in Dan city. Considering his brother's irritated voice, it must be really late there already right now.
"I'm sorry brother. I didn't mean to disturb you... I just.... wanted to chat?" Vier said, testing the water.
Yago held his forehead in exasperation. "Chat? You called me at three in the morning to chat? Are you a four year-old kid missing your mother? How clingy and childish can you be?"
Ouch. His brother just called him clingy. Does karma have to act so fast? It wasn't even twenty fours yet and he's getting his retribution already?
"Brother, don't say it like that. I'm calling because I'm having a relationship problem. It's something important, right? Ellaine has been avoiding me since last night. I want to ask for your help."
"Really?" Yago answered mockingly. "Good for you!"
"Brother, if you don't help me, Arianna will start hating you too!" At the mention of Arianna's name, Yago was put into silence. What does his problem got to do with his Rian? "Brother, if Ellaine decides to leave me, she said she'll come back to Dan city to stay with Arianna. Can you handle a fake fiancee, huh?! Arianna will surely avoid you, curse you and hate you until you live through sleepless nights! So come on! Help me this once so you'll only lose your sleep for just one night!"
Yago sighed. What a cunning brother. He was threatening him in a way that one would think he's actually doing all this out of concern for him. But what can he do? He really made a good point there!
"Alright. Tell me what happened and I'll help you think of a way to deal with your problem."
Vier then, started relaying everything that happened. It was just that one sentence and he managed to infuriate his fiancee. Yago shook his head when he heard his short story. He even laughed at him for a while.
"How useless." he commented. "When will you stop acting like a kid?"
The corner of Vier's lips twitched. Only Yago dared mock him like this. What's more displeasing though was that Yago only knows how to bully him! In front of his wife, Yago was like a timid and obedient little puppy! How unfair!
"Brother, you know me. I'm cold to strangers, but I'm playful around the people I like!"
"Oh, you mean you like her?", Yago's sleepiness was totally gone by now. Vier's childish attitude started to sound amusing in his ears and he couldn't help but tease him.
"Well... a little bit." He has to admit that he already started warming up to that pampered little heiress. He didn't dislike her and that's not a small feat. He usually dislikes women. He finds them crafty and pretentious. The kind of creatures that can not be trusted! After all, very few women have been good and true to him in this lifetime! Most of them either tried to kill him or tried to climb on his bed.
"Well, isn't that amazing... So. Have you already made up your mind? You really want to marry her? Won't you regret it?" Yago tried probing some more. He wants to make sure that his efforts to assist this brother won't be wasted.
"Let's me see, brother. I'm stuck in this island and I'll be staying here for God knows how many years more. Would I have any chance to find someone else? And even if I do get a chance to see the world again, how many Ellaine can I find? I think she's interesting. I want to give this a try. Now please stop asking anymore and think of something helpful to me!"
Yago chuckled. This brother always sound so childish. Maybe his sickness before melted his most significant braincells or something.
"You won. Now, listen to me. First, you have to remember what you should, and shouldn't do...." Yago said as he started explaining things to his twin brother. Vier listened to him attentively as he sat on the bench in the patio.
Behind Vier, Ellaine was peering at him from the front door. She was about to leave the house when she found Vier talking on the phone. When she heard her name being mentioned, she became curious and started to eavesdrop on them.
Seeing that the conversation was almost finish, Ellaine retreated. She should take the back door and avoid alerting Vier of her escape.
"Hey Vier, let's play a little." she mumbled to herself with a smile as she left the house.

"Arianna, I haven't seen that necklace before. Is it new?" Jayden asked while they were on an ascending escalator inside a mall.
Arianna subconsciously touched the hearts hanging on her neck.
"This? Yeah, I got it as a birthday gift. Isn't it pretty?" she said with a bright smile.
Jayden frowned a bit. Arianna seemed to like that necklace a lot. The truth is, he also prepared a necklace for her as a gift but he was unable to give it to her as she was 'on a trip' during her birthday. If Arianna likes necklaces this much, then he needs to remember to hand her his gift later. Then it'll be his gift that'll be adorning her beautiful neck in the future!
"Let's go now! I want to see you try on the wedding dress I pre customized for you!" Jayden said as they reached the third floor. He pulled her wrist, obviously excited to reach the famous boutique.
"So fast? It's already finished? Wasn't it done a bit rushed? Could it be that the quality was compromised?" Arianna pretended to express her worries. Deep inside though, she couldn't care less. She just wanted to lead this jerk on. Who would walk down the aisle with him? Probably Belle, but not her!
"That'ts why we're checking on it. Our wedding will be held in three weeks. We need to hurry and take care of things related to it. I'm done booking the venue. The invitations are being spread out. After trying on the dress, we need to meet with the wedding coordinator for the flowers." Jayden said, almost in one breath.
Arianna raised an eyebrow.
"How efficient!" she commented.
Arianna suddenly felt pity for this puppy love of hers. Was she being too cruel? Jayden was taking this wedding too seriously. It exceeded her expectations.
