Chapter 7 - First Fight

After school, YingLei decided to buy equipments for battle as he decided it is time to try fighting experience fighters as the students in the academy is truly boring to fight with. After reaching the amory YingLei remembered that the BeiMei family had given him compensation about the event. So he decided to return to the hotel and checked what the BeiMei family had given to him in the spatial ring. After reaching his room he pour a small amount of energy into the ring. Shocked and awed as he is he say plenty of coins and as he started moving his energy around he saw equipments and thus start exploring those equipment. During school time, the teachers taught him all equipments are graded Common, Iron, Bronze, Silver, Metal, Gold and Dark Gold according to lowest to highest grade and in each grade they are divided into tiers Low, Mid, High, Peak and Perfect in terms of lowest to highest tiers. In this city, due to having a tier 4 blacksmith and several tier 3, the city is able to forge up to Low tier, Gold grade equipments. But inside this ring every equipment is High-Peak Metal equipments. After searching for awhile he found a sword that is a meter long with a good weight to it. Thus YingLei find this is the best Sword for him. After that, he when and seaech for helmet, armors, Knee and elbow guards.

Once he got himself equiped and he wore a mask to prevent being known. He ran towards the arena to get himself registered. It is easy to spot the arena as is it one of the most crowded areas especially for gamblers and with a big sign "Gladiators Arena" who could missed it? When the receptionist asked

"Name."

YingLei replied

"Shadow."

The receptionist asked

"Placed your hand on the orb on your

right."

YingLei complied. Soon the orb was slight white in color. The receptionist glanced at the orb and passed him a book which writes about rules and regulations. Before anyone enters the arena for a fight they have to sign a paperwork stating they will follow the rules and if any accident is to happen the fighters only can blamed themselve and not the arena. After entering a room where all the fighters are at. YingLei found a seat at the far end of the corner and seat as it is dark and he could practice using the shadow manual since the shadow can easily camouflage with the darkness.

After several hours, it was YingLei turn. He is relaxed as the arena rules had stated they will only fight people of the same realm. But fighter have options to initiate to fight people higher but they cant fight people lower unless the lower realm fighter requestes it.

After entering the arena which is loud and filled with cheers YingLei saw his opponent a huge man who wield an axe as his weapon. The referee asked

"Are you both ready?"

YingLei and his opponent nodded and the referee shouted

"FIGHT!"

The large man rushed towards in YingLei and ready to launch a verticle slash downwards. YingLei saw through his opponents moves and dodge to the side with minimal effort and actions. Seeing his attacked was avoided he decided to change his stance and build distances bewteen them. YingLei saw what his opponent is doing and decided to dash and thrust he sword at the mans navel.

His opponent was able to block with his axe in time and use a huge amount of force and pushed YingLei back. After being pushed back by 5 steps, YingLei had a smile on his face as he finally have a decent match after so long. YingLei dashed around his opponent trying to find an opening from his opponent seeing that his opponent was huge YingLei thought that speed was something he lacked.

But sadly YingLei is wrong, His opponent was raise as a hunter in the wood thus speed is something never lacks. Seeing that YingLei was trying to find an opening

to strike him, he decide to makeshift an opening to lure YingLei in. YingLei saw an opening and directly rushed towards his opponent. Just before he reached him he saw his opponent axe coming downwards with a diagonal slash. YingLei immdiately side step and was able to only have a small scratch near his wrist. The opponent asked

"Do you still wish to continue?"

YingLei knew he was not mocking him but showing concern thus he shook his head and went into a fighting stance. The opponwnt saw this and did the same

Sounds of metal clashing came one after another. After 30 minutes or so, YingLei and his opponent had a huge distant inbetween them and in one glance anyone can tell who won. YingLei is constantly trying to catch his breath while his opponent is still standing tall as if he had yet to fight, despite both of them having mutiple cuts around their body. YingLei knew defeat was his, thus he raise his hand said

"I surrender."

The referee blowed his whistle and the match ends. YingLei shook hands with his opponent while the crowd cheered and shouted

"Amazing fight."

After that he turned and return back to the hotel.

Using what he had experience in the arena, YingLei keep on recap what he could have done and avoid. YingLei stop going to the arena for 1 month constantly using his spare time to sharpen his skills and reaction time in the forest by fighting demonic beast day in and day out. During this 1 month YingLei broke through all the way to peak 4th body refining thus enhancing his strenght and speed to a new level. When he returned to the hotel, the receptionist call out to him

"Sir Jian, there is a letter for you."

YingLei took the letter and when to his room to open it.

I hoped you grown up strong during this 1 year and a half. I have applied leave for you the carriage and escort will reach your hotel to get you to Sage tribe. Go to the tavern where you meet with LeiShen. I will wait for you to reach.

YingLei smiled and immdiately packed his bag waiting for tomorrow to arrived. YingLei when to sleep early hoping the day would pass faster as he can't wait to meet his father.
