Lan Quan looked at the cat spirit disciple of his, whom he had rescued during one of his hunts for medicinal plants, bruised with fur so dirty. He took it upon himself to bring the feline back with him to Suming hall.
"Master!"
"Huh?"
"Can I go down the mountain?"
The white ball of fur stretched its body lazily as he spoke to his master, its paws tapping on the floorboard to get the attention of Lan Quan.
"Kai Zhen, I've said it before! You can't leave Suming hall!"
"But, why?! It's too boring in here!"
To anyone else that couldn't decipher what the cat said, to them it sounded more like, "MEOW!!!!"
The cat brought his body closer to where his master stood, as he concocted the medicinal pills from a gold cauldron which filled the whole place with different aromas.
"Run along! Kai Zhen! I need to have this done before nightfall!"
His heart sank when he heard the dismissive tone of his master, who didn't spare a glance to look at the cat that was at his feet.
"Master!"
Thinking that Lan Quan would look down this time, Kai Zhen prepared the ultimate weapon that would make his master give in to him, which was a practiced widening of his dark pupils.
"MEOW!"
Rather than talk, Kai Zhen regressed to his base instinct to call his master's attention to the need at hand. Waited he did, but Lan Quan refused to look at his disciple, who then began pulling on his robes with his teeth.
"I said! Get out!"
In a gust of wind infused spirit energy, the cat was transported out and the doors firmly shut.
"Master, is this really how you feel about me?"
The cat slowly transformed into a male faerie in white robes, without a backward glance at the place that he called home. Kai Zhen strode out of Suming hall, against his master's wishes unleashing terror to the heavens and causing the downfall of his master.
