It was after school the next day and Reo was still stuck with dealing with his quest. He walked with Natsu as they talked about possible ways out of the situation.
"Maybe I should try firing spells at it from outside the barrier?" Reo thought hopefully
"It won't work, all you have are beginner level spells, practically ineffective against something of that level" Natsu answered.
"Yeah the old immortal guy must have something set up for that anyway" Reo shook his head
"But maybe you can try making a smaller faster golem to deal with it?" Natsu asked
"I'm not sure if it would work, the golem is scary fast and is probably too smart to allow something like that get to it" Reo replied solemnly
The two boys walked back home as they slowly discussed possible ways and methods to deal with the golem. Each one sounding more desperate than the last until it felt like they would give up.
"This might just be impossible, he smashed my golem apart like it was nothing! I mean it was not my best but I honestly can't see how any improvement would matter right now. The difference is too large" Reo went through all possible options with no hope.
"You know I just realized we are overlooking something" Natsu suddenly said.
"What is it?"
"Why don't you use numbers to overwhelm it? I'm sure you could beat it down with five golems its size if you could use them well" Natsu said convincingly
Reo paused as he thought for a moment. He hadn't tried managing more than one golem before so he wasn't sure what his limit was but it did sound like a good idea. Wave tactics normally always worked. No matter how strong one person is, he couldn't fight a million people alone.
"I think I already have a do-able plan to work with, let me go home quickly and figure it out before the quest time ends!" Reo exclaimed bright eyed
In a relatively large building in the center of laron, a mage with flashy red robes and red hair was pacing up and down nervously in front of a pair of ornate wooden doors. He was scared and a little bit indignant of what he was about to face. It wasn't his fault that the beastmen escaped! He had ran back to the village quickly then and tried to gather some forces to help at least recover the situation but when he returned, he met an empty location and a lot of dead bodies. He found tracks of his retreating men and those of a large group of travelling beastmen. Choosing to at least have something, he had two men go after the retreating party to bring back able fighters while he went with the rest to pursue the beastmen.
A few men and the three summoned came to join them about half way to their destination with a carriage. Although he had immense hatred for summoned, he needed their help at this point. And with the help of a fast means of transport, they caught up with the beastmen!
The attack was swift as they hit them hard! But the beastmen were armed this time. They fought bitterly and with his superior magic and the help of the three summoned, especially the mad monk, they were winning! He felt his heart going at ease as he prepared to rein them in. But at that moment, the sound of horse hoofs echoed down the road, a patrol squad! Although patrol soldiers were very strong and moved in groups of 5, he had a small army and could essentially wipe them out, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was that if a kingdom patrol squad should get wiped out then the army would definitely investigate, they would be exposed!
He decided to quickly cut his losses and ordered his men grab a few beastmen and they made a quick escape! Even though the patrol would find the remaining beastmen and quickly find out what was going on, it would take a few days for any reinforcement to appear that could threaten their operation. Enough time for them to disappear and wipe out their tracks!
Now here he was, thinking of how to report the matter to his direct superior, the branch head of their operation that oversaw laron and the surrounding villages. It was all that brat's fault! The damned muan and his friends! If only he could get his hands on them! He would track them down! He would not rest until he saw their bodies drop down into the depths of the abyss itself!!!
He took a deep breath and combed his silky red hair with his hands. Anger would do no good now, no. What was important now was a plan to effectively handle the situation, if he was lucky maybe hunting down the nosy muan would be a bonus. He stared at the un guarded door for a minute before finally pushing it open and walking in.
It was a small hall with floors paved with baked clay, beautiful walls designed with a forest theme and two pillars covered by vines supporting the tall building. This was supposed to be the villager's hall but it was now occupied by them. There was no furniture except for a few dozen pots filled with different types of plants and the big bed that sat at a corner. Although there was a half-naked elf girl sleeping within the sheets, the mage didn't notice her. His eyes were focused on the hulking image of a man wielding a broadsword in elegant movements that didn't match his demeanor. He practiced quietly with graceful swings and thrusts only letting out the occasional grunt as he made a heavy move. The mage stayed quietly for about 15 minutes until the man finished with his practice and looked at him with his piercing black eyes.
The huge swordsman stood above 2 meters and was wearing pair of baggy brown trousers and a tight fitting vest which exposed his bulging muscles. He had a small beard on his chin with his rough dark hair reaching his neck. He looked absolutely ferocious, like a wild beast.
"You have the bravery to stand before me after your huge blunder? What makes you think I won't cleave you in two where you stand little mage?" his voice had a deep baritone that echoed around the hall.
'Shit! He knows! How did he know!?' the mage felt a trickle of cold sweat drip down his back. Although he felt deep fear, he mustered his courage to speak up.
"The men were careless and allowed a passerby to interfere, it was not really a fault of mine. They were stro….."
"DO NOT GIVE ME EXCUSES!!!" the man roared!
The mage instantly shut up as he watched the man move towards the bed and sat at the edge. The elf stirred a little but slept on despite the commotion, or maybe she was wise enough to pretend, he could not tell. The mage kept his gaze down as he saw the man look at him deeply as if trying to weigh the repercussions of actually killing him. Although the mage feared this man, he had at least a bit of confidence that he wouldn't kill him. That confidence been that he was actually sent there by their superiors as the brains of the operation. Although he answered to the huge swordsman here, he was ultimately not his subordinate.
"The muan who interfered, you know how he looks like?" the man said after a couple of seconds.
"I can get to hunting him down right away! If I find him, I will crush with my own two hands I swear it on my life!" the mage answered barely hiding the relief and hatred in his voice.
"Your life has no weight in front of me, if a fool like you can remember his face others can too. You go oversee the clearing of our tracks, send the summoned to me when you leave"
The mage could not help but silently grit his teeth as he saw the man close his eyes and ignore him. He turned around sharply and left the room with a bang as the door shut behind him. He muttered curses under his breath as soon as he was out.
"All these bastards thinking they can walk all over me, I swear on the Gods I'll push their faces into the mud one day! Fucking bastards!" he walked down the connecting hallway forming up ways to humiliate everyone he hated.
Rastel had been in game for more hours than he could account for. He had been sculpting out golem parts and experimenting with different models while glancing at the Immortal's golem from time to time which now occupied the second cave room.
He smiled wryly as he remembered how not quite long after he logged in and sat down to sculpt, the golem had suddenly stood up from its original sitting position at the back of the last cave and charged at him with ferocious speed! He had to throw his half complete golem with only one arm at the scary approaching machine before he could make a very narrow escape!
He was already nearly set and had run plenty simulations in his head on how to go about beating the golem. With the golem's abilities that he had seen, he was at least 60 percent sure with employing his wave tactics. He put the last sculpted golem in his inventory as he stood up and stared at the immortal's golem. As if sensing his intentions, the golem stood up and started slowly walking towards the entrance separating the two rooms.
Rastel laughed heartily as he waved his hand and three small golem figures flew out and expanded with a grinding rumble, three was his limit of control! The golems stood almost the same height with the immortal's golem and looked far better than Rastel's first golem but instead of giving them normal arms, Rastel made their arms into giant hulking hammers!
He controlled the golems to attack from three directions as they rushed the fast approaching immortal's golem. The immortal's golem let out a deep mocking grunt as it dodged a wide swing from the golem directly in front of it, it blocked a flailing hammer assault from the left towards its head with its arm and quickly punched the one to the right with its huge fist!
BOOM!!!
The punch resounded in the small cave room as the golem tumbled backward nearly losing its balance.
Rastel kissed his teeth as he focused all his energy and urged the golem directly in front of the immortal's golem to quickly land a sharp uppercut! The immortal's golem had barely turned its head from landing the punch when it received on of its own straight to its jaw!
BAM!!!
It felt its body leave the floor for a moment as it stumbled back from the impact.
"Yes!!!" Rastel yelled with joy as he quickly ordered the other golems to follow up with attacks.
BAM!
BOOM!!
BAM!!!
BANG!!!!
The fight was getting more and more wild as heavy punches were traded among the golems. It was a golem royal rumble! The immortal's golem was surprisingly keeping pace with Rastel's three golems, giving as much as it got. It even seemed to be enjoying itself!
It dodged an incoming tackle as it spun to the side and elbowed one golem to the face and quickly caught an incoming blow from the other. Although Rastel's golems hit hard, they were slow in speed and reaction as he had to control them all. The fight was already going on for nearly 3 minutes now, a bit too much for him to get by mentally and with his mana limit. He already knew he had to finish it as quickly as possible!
The immortal's golem was still immersing itself in the fight, about to sucker punch one of Rastel's already badly damaged golems when one of the golems suddenly tackled it from the front taking it unawares. Before it could recover, another one tackled it from the side pushing it to the ground all the while leaning down firmly on its left arm. The last golem lunged at its right arm and pinned it down!
The immortal's golem started to struggle violently as it looked almost indignant that it was pinned down. Rastel quickly cut off the connection of the first golem that tackled it down and threw another golem into the fray. This one was much smaller, barely half a meter and had a slim fit body. It had a small head, long feet and had actual hands but with sharp finger tips!
Rastel's plan was very simple, the golem had a core! If he could get the core out, he would easily win the fight without having to beat down the golem! He couldn't risk going to do it himself so he had spent a lot of time crafting this golem having speed in mind so that it could quickly do the deed!
The immortal's golem had already shrugged off the golem on it thereby exposing its core for the taking. It was just about to get its left arm free when Rastel's mini golem landed on its chest with a dull thump!
Rastel with his sense of humor had taken the time to create the golem's head with a smiling face, so as it stood there on the struggling golem's chest staring down at it, it felt like it was smiling mockingly down at it as rastel ordered it to stab down viciously at the golem's core! The golem's face seemed to fall as it watched the sharp claws stab down towards its core and grab it!
It roared in rage as Rastel roared in delight as the mini golem wrenched out the core and lifted it high!
ROAR!!!
"YESSSS!!!"
The golem's body immediately became lifeless as it stopped struggling. Rastel not hearing any notifications was confused and ordered the mini golem to bring the core to him. As he held the core in his hand, he barely had the time to wonder about the constant glowing light and what it was made from before he heard a deep tired voice in his mind echo out.
'Congratulations on not dying dear successor! I am quite proud of you, whoever you are. I am quite relieved that my legacy was kept and as my successor I have a request, a last wish by a dead old man. If the day should ever come that my enemies no longer exist on the face of Aelamre, I want you to spread my legacy. Heck, create a school if you can! A sect might be a better idea, make a huge statue of a handsome dark elf and say it's me. Let the sect members all worship me as ancestor! It's the least you can do considering what I'm giving you!
I will leave my friend with you as promised to you as promised together with my little book and my trusted sculpting knife. That knife can cut through most things found in this world and you'll be quick to notice that the book now contains a bit more information than before. Be a dear and pop Amba's core back, he hates it dreadfully when that happens. Live long and live free successor! And never forget my creed!'
Immediately the voice died out, Rastel received a series of notifications

Rastel stared at his stats page as an indescribable happiness filled him! He finally did it! He had a unique class!
In the large building sitting in the middle of laron, the mage with the red robe was sitting in his personal room reviewing all their departure plans when he heard a knock at his door.
"Who is it?" he asked in irritation
"A report sir! The men found a carriage going through the woods around where the beastmen escaped, they captured a girl that seemed like a noble and brought her back"
"What!?" the mage was startled!
If it turned out to be a daughter of one of the nobles on their side, it might become a huge problem for them. If not, they could just dispose of the girl to clear their tracks. He quickly followed the guard as he went down to the cellars of the building to see the captured noble.
It was a small girl that looked about 11, she had bright blue eyes and shiny black hair tied back in a ponytail. She wore a set of expensive looking priest robes and was gagged with a dirty piece of rag. She was staring fiercely at the mage as he appeared.
He looked at her carefully as he had no recollection of such a girl, he knew of all the nobles present in the kingdom of gorm. It wasn't until he looked at her priest's robe that a piece of information hit him. Now as he looked at her black hair and blue eyes, he felt a wave of indescribable happiness wash over him, he laughed!
"Kahahahahaha! I almost can't believe it! It seems the gods really favor me!"
He turned and faced the guard that brought in the girl.
"Let no one else know about the girl! No one! Take her up to my quarters immediately"
The girl as if in sudden realization of her situation started squirming violently as the guard picked her up onto his shoulders and step smartly behind the mage whose eyes were now glinting with plots unknown.
