A week after the orientation program, as Olivia stepped in the school premises to commence her new courses, she had no idea that she was going to change the life of the people around her. As she entered her assigned class 9B, Sarah studied her and questioned her capability.
During the review in science class, when Ms. Ruby was asking questions to her disciples; for each one, Olivia would shoot her hand to elucidate it. Sarah was intrigued. She muttered, "Wow! The new girl's energetic and insightful." During the intermission period, Sarah approached Olivia and tried to initiate a brief conversation. "Hi! I'm Sarah Sanchez, your new classmate. And you are?" Olivia raised an eyebrow and responded in an exasperated expression, "Why do you bother? Why are you even speaking to me?" Sarah didn't anticipate this answer from her. She was cross with her because of it. But it didn't reflect on her appearance or attitude. Instead, she remained calm and composed. She immediately stood up and said, "You're fortunate that people like to approach you. If this is your attitude, then live your life like a hermit for all I care." Olivia was shocked yet impressed to apprehend Sarah's comeback. Then she extended her hand and replied, "Olivia Madhavan. Nice to meet you." They both shook hands. Sarah raised her eyebrow and said, "I sure hope so." Both of them shared a laugh until Olivia clarified, "Didn't mean to be ignorant, just testing you. Are we cool?" Sarah replied with confidence, "You're smart. I'd like you to meet my friends." Sarah took her hand, and within a flash, they slipped out of the cafeteria to join Mavis and Pauline.
