AT THE HOSPITAL:
I reached the hospital panting. I saw the doctor moving out of my sister's room. I ran up to him.
"How is Jasmine?" I asked him.
"We are trying our best. Her heart is not responding properly. If not taken proper measures, I don't think we can save her!"
The doctor's words were like an arrow right through the centre of my heart.
She is the only one left in my family. After all, I have done everything I could do for her. I worked in a place where I was demotivated.
I had to take care of her on my own when my uncle left me alone in such a state of disguise.
I sat on the chair lost in my own train of thoughts. She was in coma for so long. I couldn't even get to talk to her, and now I am told that her heart is not responding properly.
"Please don't die!"
Lost in my thoughts I never knew when I fell asleep. A few hours later, I woke up with a jerk, Ann was sitting beside me, holding my hand tightly and sobbing.
I looked at her. She was averting her gaze and didn't look at me in the the eye directly.
I knew what had happened while I was asleep.
'Please never forget, Jasmine, I am always here for you. I will never forget how our family was killed. I will avenge your death, Jasmine. I will never let that person live peacefully. Never forget me!'
We sat there in silence for a few minutes, both sobbing bit by bit. Ann knew my sister's conditions as she was my best friend. But she never knew that her condition would get this worse one day. She always motivated me to work for her when I was depressed. She is really a great friend.
After some time, I stood up and said, "It's time to meet him."
I started walking and didn't look back. I didn't have the courage to watch my friend crying. I left the hospital and went directly to meet him...
