Heading down the staircase first, she turned back and beckoned "Come, let's meet the rest two."
The two new faces were already headed towards the dining room, the louder one making a fuss about how hungry he was.
"I am Teo, and she..."
Teo tucked at the dainty girl sitting beside him and resumed
"... is Oromi."
Oromi looked like a doll. Scrap that. One could easily be fooled if she were to be kept on a shelf of a store and was marked with a price tag. Her refined silk smooth well-groomed hair reached till her waist. Innocent eyes, glossy lips and symmetric crescent brows allured a charisma second to none. Her shy appearance bound her doll-like features together and divulged an exhilarating aura around her.
Teo on the other hand could be described as the exact opposite. Taller than average and flaunting a slightly muscular body, his appearance imparted a sense of superiority. His skin was mildly tanned, had pretty short hair and looked rather reliable.
They had seated themselves around the dining table. The conversations flew off following an awkward silence due to that weird introduction and absolutely no response from Oromi. At this point, it was very difficult to make out if Oromi was just shy or wasn't interested at all, prior one being more likely.
Zen cooked the meal for the five of them and served it before taking a seat himself. The audience greeted Rin's stupidity with giggles and despite whatever went through their minds at that time, none let a sigh of regret having to let Riko stay with them. Rather, to his defense, Rin added
"Well, we did have to let someone stay with us. We know extremely limited people here too. I don't think that he would have blackmailed us even if he knew the truth in the first place. "
"Yeah. We will just assume that he is a friend ours, can't we Riko?" supplemented Zen.
"And he seems super polite!" Teo said.
"Ah, I am not too sure about that though." Rin whispered under her breath.
Riko, meanwhile, felt like a spectator watching a discussion on whether they had screwed up badly letting just Rin handle the matter, and in the end they just had to manage with whatever they had got themselves into.
With nothing in mind as to what to say in that situation, he greets in a sweet voice "I am pleased to make acquaintance with you all."
After a little more chat about how they managed to sneak in and apply for the examinations, they parted to their beds with a "Good Night."
Riko's room was already set and tidy.
"I decorated it to my own taste, I hope you don't mind it" said Rin while peeking through the ajar door.
"I quite like it." he replied without hesitation.
The room was maturely decorated. A single size bed with a soft mattress and a creme coloured bedsheet with modest designs was laid at the right farthest corner. A window veiled with a beautiful curtain, a golden night lamp and an alarm clock on wooden bedside table adorned the room. The spacious cupboard with a matching theme was fit inside the wall. A mall wooden desk was contrived in the near left hand corner. The room had various lighting arrangements as well.
"Where is your luggage?"
"I didn't quite get time today, I'll bring it in tomorrow. Thank you for helping out so much."
"Never mind the formalities."
"Say, how could you trust some stranger so easily?"
"You honestly thought we were that dumb?" Rin let out a giggle.
"Oromi is a vibe reader specialist, and she was onto your case since I had first spotted you yesterday. Even today she had checked you for quite a while. Her vibe check isn't very convenient to use, but it surely is dependable. We have relied on her countless times before in situations where a wrong would have cost all of our lives."
It was something along the lines of what Riko had guessed, but maybe not that accurately correct.
"You went apart from me to do your own homework, didn't you?" Rin continued.
"Yeah, you may assume that." An absolute lie. He had forgotten completely forgotten about his plan of checking Rin's genuineness. The spar against Zarha and his frozen nerves had caused him to act carelessly.
"We have to wake up early tomorrow, by 6. Sleep well."
"Goodnight."
Rin left the room, closing the door behind her.
