Chapter 6 - Occult Document

~Kingdom Talamh Naofa, year 515 of the new era.

Chiya wakes up early as always, looking to the side she can see that her guardian, Lasrilan, had already left to begin her duties.

Raising from the bed his feet touch the white and clear carpet, soon after begin to move. As she left the room she was in a corridor, on the right you could see doors on both sides, which were interspersed along the way. On his left the corridor was shorter, there was only one more door, that was the personal room of Lasrilan, a place he could never even see.

Following to her right side she passes through some closed doors, until she reaches the end of the corridor, a large room. The walls could barely be seen, in front of each one of them was a large bookcase, which almost touched the ceiling, in the center four large sofas made a square, with a space dividing them so that people could pass through, in the center of this square a table, which was full of books.

"Aunt Lis was studying again." The little girl says when she understands the books.

Despite her age and short stature, Chiya liked to help arrange things, perhaps by spending most of her days alone with the maids. Realizing some fallen papers on the floor she will gather them together to put them on the table again.

"Is Miss Tsaichiya awake yet? Soon your tutor will arrive." Chiya can hear one of the waitresses talking loudly.

"I'm in the study room!" He tries to answer loudly so that they could hear him, but it does not seem that his voice has reached its destination.

"They will pass through this room to get to my room." She thought about the girl and kept putting the papers together.

A child would normally begin to become literate by the age of 6 in this world, however Tsaichiya had received special treatment for having participated in a secret program of Bettegarden. If we think of this girl with an aristocratic point of view she was serious of the highest rank, her guardian was a queen, which put her at least on the same level as princes and princesses of other kingdoms.

Thanks to these two factors, she began to be educated very early and, although she was still very young, she was already able to read a little, at least on the same level as other children of 6 or 7 years old.

By looking quickly at the written content she can read a few words, 'meeting', 'the night', 'important'. But soon he comes to his senses and puts them on the table, he's heard from Lasrilan and others that it's no good snooping around on other people's things. At least that's what he intended to do, when he was picking up the last sheet of paper from the floor something caught his attention.

"My name is written on that one." Your thoughts end up coming out of your mouth.

She looks around, looking to see if anyone was around. There was no one, just as before the room was, taking away its own, completely empty presence.

Usually he obeyed any order he was given without question, he had learned that adults knew what was best to do, so he should obey them. Not only that, Lasrilan had strengthened this order, which greatly increased her credibility, after all, she was the closest person to Chiya. However, like other children of her age, the girl was extremely curious, perhaps even more than is usually at this age, always willing to learn more and seek more knowledge, when thinking a little about the subject is not strange that the queen of elves liked this child so much.

Ignoring the advice of her guardian for an instant, she begins to read. Unfortunately there were many difficult words, even though he already knew how to read relatively well for his age, he was still a child, did not have such a large vocabulary.

"Investigations into the 'target' are..." A word she couldn't read. "Difficulty, but we've made contact with..." Once again he had to stop his reading, however, this time it was not because he did not know the words, but because the leaf was taken from his hand.

"What are you doing? You know full well Your Majesty doesn't like your documents to be touched." A waitress talks while holding the sheet.

Chiya knew all the housekeepers very well, got along very well with all of them, but she was a little afraid of them. Her name was Wiltra, the head of the maids, a human with long hair, but who was usually in prison so that she wouldn't be a hindrance during her work, and her eyes were dark brown and her skin was of a beautiful dark tone.

It is not very common to have humans on continents other than their own, but since they are the most populated race in the world, they can still be found more often than other races that do not usually get involved with others.

The elves are, apart from some exceptions such as the dwarves and demons, very receptive to other races, having relations with practically all nations around the world, excluding only the kingdom of the dwarves, who are its neighbors.

"My name, it was written on the sheet." Chiya says shy. I knew I was wrong, so I just told the truth, without trying to trick her into getting away with it.

Wiltra looks at the leaf for an instant, the girl notices the change in the expression of the maid, who has a pale face, when she begins to speak she ends up stuttering a little.

"No... No need to worry, it's just a letter from Your Majesty to tell the Kingdom of Bettegarden how you are." Wiltra tries to justify with the first thing that comes to mind.

It was common knowledge, not only of the maids and rulers, but of the population, that Tsaichiya was someone from Bettegarden, even though apparently not a demon. So, even though he said the first thing he thought about, he had hit the nail on the head, a perfect excuse that could throw the child off, at least that's what he thought.

"I understand... I'm sorry to mess with things without permission." Chiya says lowering her head.

"Don't worry about it. Your food is ready in the kitchen, eat it, soon your tutor will arrive." Wiltra responds by putting the sheet inside a book and removing it from that place.
