"I think we should get inside now. It's starting to get cold outside." Henry suggested feeling the breeze starting to get colder. Since the place was built on the cliff, it really tends to get colder by the afternoon and evening.
"Oh yeah. I think that's a good idea too." Ian agreed softly.
"Eh, I don't want to. Lan wanna play more." the little kid strongly disagreed. Ian helplessly sighs and rubs his little head.
"Don't you feel cold?" He asked and Lan shook his head saying he's not. Ian touched his cheeks and he knew immediately the little man was lying since his cheek was freezing cold.
"How about I'll ask the chef to make pizza? Will you go inside?" Henry bribed. Lan almost instantly gawks at him with his eyes wide.
"Really?" The little man asked in surprise. Ian sighs at this because it's not always he let Lan eat pizza since it's junk food and unhealthy. On a normal basis, he feeds him fruits or foods with lots of protein and healthy carbohydrates.
"Yeah. You can eat pizza if we go inside now." Ian confirmed which made the little man perk up from his squatting position and throw his arms around his mother.
"Yey, I wanna eat pizza!!!" Lan agreed happily. With Henry helping Ian up, the three of them soon left the garden and into the white house. At the same time, Hanlu who had been staring at their figures since earlier never removed his eyes from where they disappeared. He gulps down the hard liquor he had gotten from the mini-refrigerator available in the master's bedroom and slams the glass on top of the flat surface of the furniture beside him.
After a couple of minutes still staring. He finally decided to withdraw with a sigh. Emotions filled his heart and mind -relief, doubt, anger, and jealousy- clouded his thoughts.
Doubt because he doubted himself. Will Ian talk to him? Will he listen to him? Will he be able to make Ian happy? Will he be able to keep him from hurting again?
All this filled his mind but at the same time, he was relieved he found them finally. After one week of narrowing down all the places leading to the place Tian Zi had suggested to him. He was planning to go in the opposite direction if he doesn't find Ian by the end of the week but thankfully he found them.
However, upon seeing them. Hanly couldn't help but feel bitter and jealous seeing his family was with another man. He was gone for not more than 8 days and now Ian was warming up with another man?
Hanlu, of course, knew the man Ian was with and he knew his father appointed him to help and take care of his family but seeing them so happy together he couldn't stop feeling insecure. Questions once again flooded his thoughts. Seeing those peaceful smiles on his lovers' lips. Hanlu wondered if it was right for him to chase after Ian.
Sighing again. Hanlu went for the shower and tried to calm himself. He had obvious bags under his eyes and despite his handsome features, it was easy to tell that he had not been sleeping properly for at least a week by how haggard he looked.
The rumor about him marrying Veronica Chime had spread the country like a plague. He was sure the news had long reached Ian. Hanlu had been receiving calls from his mother and other members of the family but he didn't want to talk to any of them, especially to his mother who forced him to marry Veronica.
Dunking his head into the water, Hanlu didn't move for a while. He closed his eyes thinking. Wondering what he should do now that he had found them.
After long minutes in the shower, Hanlu finally finished wearing his robe and walked out of the shower. He trailed the way towards the window again and stared at the well-lit white house. It didn't take a few minutes when he detected a shadow on one of the windows that seemed to be the master bedroom.
It may seem very far where Hanlu was but he could easily distinguish the two shadows looking like they were kissing. Hanlu glared at the sight, aggressive pheromones exploded within the room that if someone other than Hanlu was inside, they would surely faint just by feeling the pressure.
The shadows soon separated but Hanlu's rage remained. He was so close to rushing out of his newly bought three-stories mansion and to his neighbor's and snatching Ian away. He wanted to lock down the Omega to his room and make him understand that he should never ever think of getting close to any other man for as long as he was alive.
He will mark him over and over again until Ian would have no choice but to understand that his heart, body, and soul was Hanlu's possession. However, no matter how furious Hanlu was, he held back turning around from the view. His body trembles in suppressed emotions. He rashly stomps his feet towards where the liquors were kept and quickly opened a bottle and gulp it's bittersweet liquid straight from its container.
He continued doing so until he felt tipsy. He was hoping by doing so, all his anger would dissipate. And it did, all he felt at the moment was miserable. He felt extremely miserable. Aside from that, he felt regretful. He drank his liquor again and despite not intending, his tears fell from his eyes.
He felt so much in his heart and it was heavy. At this moment, all he could do was let it out by crying. He didn't care if he looked pathetic or way out of his usual image. No one was watching him anyway so it's okay to look weak and defeated.
Hanlu continually drowns himself with his liquor until the sun outside soon appears indicating that it was morning already and the next day. There was no doubt that he was currently wasted but his body refused to fall.
Subconsciously, he walked down the stairs without stumbling until he found himself on the first floor. His unconscious self walked through the partitions of the house until he found himself in his front yard. Despite being in the influence of alcohol, his body subconsciously knew that the front yard was only one bush away from his neighbor's.
He stepped his bare feet on the grass and staggered his way towards the bush separating his side of the lawn to the other. The moment he reached the bush, the image of a little kid playing not far from where he was, came to his view.
"Lan," Hanlu croaked, dropping his expensive bottle of gin to the ground that he still carried until he saw his son. Hanlu called again but after the back of his son remained facing him, Hanlu slump disappointed. His eyes started feeling hot again and mumbled Lan's name. After receiving no reply, Hanlu was rational enough to realize that he was hallucinating.
Picking up the bottle of gin and gulping down the remaining liquid, some of it dripped at the side of his lips before he gloomily stood and turned around. It was not good to show his miserable self to his son, even if he was just hallucinating.
Hanlu was about to set foot on his newly bought mansion until he heard a little voice calling him. "Daddy?" Lan called holding his toy robot. He was not sure if the man was his father but he called anyway. The profile of the man was like his father but something about him was different. The man was only wearing a bathrobe and there was a bottle of alcohol on his hand.
"Daddy, is that you?" Lan asked again, walking closer. Hanlu still hasn't turned around as he suddenly froze. Lan on the other hand as soon as he neared the man, he soon realized it was indeed Hanlu. From afar Hanlu looked like someone else but now, Lan was so sure it was Hanlu.
Lan memorized every single detail on Hanlu's body. How his back looked like with his broad shoulders, his height, his hair, the way he stood. Lan was sure it was Hanlu. He would never forget his father because he would never want to forget him just when he finally met him.
"Did daddy come to bring mommy and Lan back?" Lan asked excitedly, jumping close to the bush separating them. He attempted to climb the bush but failed because it was slightly taller than him. Lan was still busy trying to cross the bush when he felt strong muscular arms lifted him and pulled him to the other side.
"Yes, Daddy came to bring Lan and mommy back." Hanlu smiled and buried his face to his son's neck hoping that the little kid wouldn't see how pathetic he looked. He remained hugging Lan as he swayed his body lovingly. There was no doubt that he missed his son so much that he felt like crying again.
"Is daddy, okay?" Lan asked curiously, patting Hanlu's head which Hanlu replied with a hum.
"Should I tell mommy?" Lan asked, caressing his father's hair. Hanlu shook his head drawing his face away from Lan's neck. He smiled at his carbon copy before he caresses his chubby cheeks.
"How are you? Did you miss daddy?" He asked, changing the topic. It was more or less 7 am, why was he playing outside alone?
"Uncle Henry said I can play outside for a little bit until teacher Alicia comes," Lan explained with a bright smile.
"Where is your mommy then?" Hanlu asked, looking at his neighbor's house and seeing no Ian around.
"Mommy is sick, Uncle Henry will give him medicine again today," Lan explained sadly that he couldn't see his mother again for a couple more days. He thought yesterday his mother was finally okay but then this morning when he was going to visit him, Henry briefly let him in the room to see that his mother was sick again. After kissing his mother's burning forehead for a get well soon greeting, Lan was soon asked to keep out for a while.
Naturally, knowing that his mother is sick again, Lan was sad and worried. But he knew his uncle Henry would take care of his mother. He was positive his mommy will soon get well soon. But of course, he was still sad and so in order to cheer himself up, he decided to play outside while waiting for his tutor.
Remembering his mother's weak image, Lan once again felt sad. Hanlu on the other hand, as soon as he heard his son saying that Ian was sick. His eyes bulged open in worry. With Lan on his arms, he swiftly crossed the bush separating their houses.
"How long was your mother had fallen sick?" Hanlu asked in a rush as he hastily walked the lawn to the white house. Ian confessed in the audio recording that he had formed a bond, Hanlu also believed he too had formed a bond with Ian. He also knew cutting off a bond can cause a person's life. Hearing now that Ian had fallen sick made him extremely worried that his earlier self drank slightly sober up.
"hmmm, 4 days," Lan confirmed and almost instantly, Hanlu knew the reason why Ian had suddenly fallen sick 4 days ago. It was because four days ago, his rumored marriage to Veronica Chime was published in all entertainment news and channels. Ian must have thought he was really going to marry the actress and so his subconsciousness finally accepted that he was cutting off the bond.
Meanwhile, for Hanlu, he knew he wouldn't marry Veronica so all he was experiencing was just stress and mood swings.
Reaching out for the white mansion's main door, Hanlu burst it open with Lan in his arms. He was still wearing his robe from last night and he looked slightly a mess despite his handsome features. The maids who were startled at Hanlu slightly scream looking at him in shock.
All house personnel from the maids, cooks, gardeners, drivers to the security guards and bodyguards, etc., knew who Mo Hanlu was. It's because they were trained by the Mos secret organization and almost all of them were recruited from the orphanages that they grew up in.
Of course, by seeing Mo Hanlu, they didn't dare block his way as he trailed the way upstairs to where he saw the shadows last night.
"That's where mommy's room is. Uncle Henry is in there." Lan said pointing at the twin styled doors. Hanlu didn't wait for a second and quickly rushed inside. The second he entered the room, he saw Henry in the middle of wiping off his lover's bare and weakened body.
