Nathalia shifted to her seat first before she resumed her story.
"Jace's father happened to be a wealthy man and he took Jace with him after finding out his son's situation. But Jace had to live together with her stepmother and half younger brother because while he and his mother was struggling to survive a day in the harsh world, his father was having the time of his life living a happy and contented life with an ideal family of his own. His stepmother was not exactly like any other evil stepmom. She treated Jace as though he was also her own son and she did not change the way she treated him even after Jace's biological father died. But on that specific day, she was forced to make a choice between Jace and her own dear son. A mother's love was really something else. There were some unspeakable deeds that mortals were capable of doing all for the sake of love."
