To the left of his bed, Aiden could also see several chests that were placed side by side with one another.
And just like the other items in that vast room, those chests also looked like it was made of gold.
Aiden tried lifting one of them and almost broke his back in the process.
But that only made Aiden more curious than ever.
"Hmm... what could be inside this chest for it to be this heavy??"
Aiden muttered under his breath as he tried to open one of the chests.
As soon as he lifted the cover, Aiden's eyes were instantly greeted with a blinding reflection from the shimmering gold coins, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
All made of diamonds and other priceless gemstones!
He dug his fingers into the stash and savor the feeling of it.
Since that would probably the only time in his life that he would be able to get a chance to touch such treasures.
When Aiden was already done marveling the place to his heart's content and filled his satisfaction up to its brimmed, he stopped on his own.
Then he stood up, with his head kept low.
Slowly, he raised his head and rolled his eyes afterward.
"HUH! If you really thought that you could blind me with these riches, I must say.. you almost got me there! But hell no! NO WAY! I won't sell myself with any amount of treasure!!!"
Aiden shouted to no one in particular.
With his semi disheveled hair due to the fact that he just woke up, he looked like a lunatic arguing with the thin air.
Aiden clearly remembered how he fell from the abyss.
He knew all along that it was all part of Nathalia's scheme and there was no way he would allow himself to fall on her ploy.
If she really thought that all those riches and luxuries were all enough to fool him or buy him, then she must have thought too lowly of him.
He was not someone that could be easily won over by a materialistic approach!
Aiden waited for the legendary Queen of Darkness to show herself and appear out of nowhere just like what she usually did, but it was to no avail.
So with an exasperated sigh, Aiden crossed the vast expanse of the room and headed straight towards the door.
There were actually two doors in that room. The first door was locked so he moved to the second one.
Aiden slowly opened the door and was surprised to found out that there was no one guarding his room
But yet again, his jaw dropped because just like his room, the outside of the place was magnificent as well.
The corridor was wide, but Aiden could not see any other doors except a big one beside his.
The entire place was lit by blue flames from the jeweled sconces that hung on the walls.
"Woah!!! This thus far was the best freaking corridor that I have ever been"
If his guess was right, Nathalia forcefully brought him to her world---- the UNDERWORLD
And as much as he hated the notion of living in the Underworld with Nathalia, he still would not be able to deny the fact that the place was indeed marvelous.
But regardless of how awed he was, it was still not enough to change his mind of leaving the place
And realizing that he had no time to waste and the situation was not exactly to his advantage, Aiden made his move right away.
He could not afford to get caught and risk staying at that place for good.
Knowing well enough that it was the Queen of Darkness' lair as well as the abodes of the dead.
He had to escape by any means!
The corridor was exceptionally long and the place seemed to be simply too big to explore in a single day.
But the weird part was that Aiden has not seen anybody despite walking for quite some time now.
It was practically empty!
It was not he was wishing to be seen by anyone but it was just too good to be true.
