She did not even a lift of a single finger. Which was enough to show that she did not any intention to leave yet.
"Don't make it hard for yourself, little lass. Trust me when I tell you that this is the best choice that you got. Don't force me to use my other hand to deal with the likes of you. Things that you would definitely not like. Believe me, I have a lot of ways to take you away against your will."
Jace said in a voice that was neither subservient nor overbearing.
Just enough to make his point clear.
And that was to see his duty into fulfillment by hook or by crook.
Truth be told, this was obviously not his first time meeting a ghost who was reluctant to part to the mortal realm.
Ghosts like them tended to have too many attachments in their previous lives. Mostly their loved one whom they wish not to leave behind.
But they had to learn to let go, one way or another.
They could do it the easy way.
Like resolving their grudges on the mortal realm and fulfilling their unfinished business so they could move on and get ready to receive their afterlife.
As the chief ruler of the Underworld, this was one of Nathalia's duties.
That was why she used to help the deceased souls to fulfill their unfinished businesses.
But of course, if there was an easy way to deal with ghosts, there was also the hard way.
Ghosts could learn their lesson the hard way by means being turned to ashes.
This would exterminate a deceased soul for good and would remove their chances of being reincarnated in the future.
Because once a soul got burned by the green flames of the Underworld, their existence would be utterly eradicated.
This was the last resort that they had on their disposal and likewise, it was the job of the grim reapers like Jace.
