Clark could not help but feel bad about him for that. And his conscience was slowly starting to eat him whole as well.
At the same time, he could not help but admire Aiden's courage.
After all, who in their right mind would readily agree on standing beside a hanging man's tree alone in the middle of an abandoned cemetery?
Not to mention that they also had to play as a sacrificial groom to some unknown Queen of Darkness until midnight!
Even Boss Jay himself and his fraternity boys were not confident in completing that task if one would dare them.
That was why they used to trick someone else to do that sick frat ritual in their stead every year.
They did not believe a single thing about that make believed Queen of Darkness.
To put it simply, they were just merely trying to carry out their fraternity's yearly tradition of offering a virgin groom every night of the Halloween
Yet despite knowing that it was nothing but an urban legend that had been passed out to the succeeding generations of their fraternity, they still would not dare themselves to do it.
When Clark was finally done on cleaning Aiden, he returned back to his seat at the corner of the room.
He was just about to catch some sleep when he heard someone knocked on their door.
'Knock. Knock. Knock'
The sound of someone's knocking was followed by a series of heavy footsteps and it headed towards the direction that was next to Aiden's bed.
"How is he doing???"
Asked one of the newcomers.
His voice sounded so deep and gravelly which was enough for Aiden to picture him out in his mind as someone who had bulky muscles in his body.
He just barely regained his consciousness about a few seconds ago.
In fact the sound of someone knocking on the door was the first sound that registered on him as soon as he woke up.
But instead of opening his eyes right away, Aiden decided to observe his surroundings first by utilizing his ears.
He was afraid that the moment he opened his eyes, he would see the decomposing zombie priestess and that vixen queen of hers.
"He hasn't woken up yet even for once. He had been like that for six days already..."
Said the other one.
From how the other party's voice sounded, Aiden could assume that the one who just spoke was no other than Clark himself.
'Six days??? I have been asleep for six days straight?!!!!!!'
Aiden exclaimed inside his mind.
He could not believe it himself, despite hearing it with both of his own two ears.
He thought that he had been out for only half a day at most.
Never did he imagined that he actually has been in deep sleep for an entire six days!
The memory about his wedding with the Queen of Darkness felt like it only happened just a while ago.
In fact, he did not feel like someone who just woke up from a long sleep.
It was as if it was just a moment ago when he closed his eyes and the queen of darkness called him 'fool'.
'Wait! Was that a dream????'
Aiden though to himself with his eyes still close.
