After having along session of interrogation under the pretense of catching up, we are sitting at the dinner table inside the dining room, the servants brought the food, I can see mother talking cheerfully while waiting for father to come.
A few minutes passed by then the sound of footsteps rang in the room, I looked at the direction that it is coming from to find a man that look in his late 40s with intimidating atmosphere a cold eyes that can freeze the blood in your vines, people who worked for him in the past called him the cold blooded ogre, in the business word he was known as the heartless CEO Ortox, the man I call father made his way to the dinner table.
Alan Ortox "it is good to see you doing well Adrian"
Adrian "it is good to see you too father"
Alan "Mmm"
Katie "look at them ma, it is as if two demons are exchanging greeting in a war console"
Eleanor "yea honey looking at them it seems our last hope is Lukas, my heart can't take it anymore"
They started there drama again, well me and father are cut from the same clothes so I can't blame them at all, he was called a demon before he retired from the business world, and now people call me the devil.
We had a wonderful dinner full of smiles and warmth, I can't be thankful enough to have been born in this family, after dinner we sat together to have some tea at the living room, and that was when the headache began.
Eleanor "honey we need to tell him right"

Eleanor "in the past, I had the greatest friend ever, our friendship started since I was a little school girl, she was my lifelong friend that stayed by my side in the sweet a sour times sadly she passed away six years ago"
Tears found its place inside ma eyes, I can see that she really loved that friend; I hate to see her in such pain.
Eleanor "she meant the world to me yet I couldn't help her, I am embarrassed to call myself her friend. You must be wondering how that's relate to you, well it was when we were in collage and she helped again, It won't be exaggerating to say that she saved my life at the time, I always couldn't repay her at all but that was the only day that she asked me for something, she said to me who was crying: well if you want to repay me once you have a baby boy I want him to marry my daughter, if I can get a cute son-in-low like you, my daughter will be happy."
Eleanor "I couldn't help but laugh at the time not knowing that it well be her last and only request to me"
I can see the pain in her eyes while she cried like a baby, her friend must have meant the world to her. It is very rare to see the always cheerful mother crying like this, I have to say I don't like it.
Eleanor "I know I am being unreasonable here by doing this to you but I want you to have her daughter as your wife, you know I hate the arrange marriage the most, but at least I want you to give that girl a chance"
Alan "we will meet next Tuesday and have dinner with them, you don't need to over think things just give it a go, and if it wasn't Ok with you, we will cancel everything."
Eleanor "I know this is hard on you, and I know I am a horrible parent to ask you of all people to do it"
I raised my hand to cut mother from continuing the talk, they won't believe that I am fine, and they continue to blame themselves.
Adrian " I am ok with it ma, you are not a horrible parent at all, but I won't lie to the girl at all, she has to know about my condition upfront, if she can't take it we will drop the marriage thing, is that alright with you"
Eleanor "of course I will tell her, she is like a daughter to me too"
A small smile planted itself on mothers face; I felt the relief in voice.
Adrian "but I still think that Lukas should be the one to be engaged not me"
Eleanor "NO, my friend specifically said that she wanted my child who look like me, Lukas looks like your father in his young days a total play boy"
Mom dropped a bomb shell in the conversation, I looked at dad who chocked on his tea while Katie couldn't contain her laughs anymore, I smiled at them only to give father the killing touch with my replay.
Adrian "i can't refute that ma"

The evening reached to its end and I drown myself into the sea of thought's asking myself can I really do it, can I really get rid of the demons hunting me from the past till the present. I only prey that they will not exist in my future.
