"I would have come to you if you had wanted to see me, my queen," Eireen said, slowly turning towards Scarlet, her head lowered and her voice barely above a whisper.
Scarlet glanced at Eireen from the corner of her eye, sensing her discomfort because of her presence. She wanted to be alone; and the tension in her posture and the tone of her voice made it clear.
Scarlet had a hunch about the reason behind Eireen's discomfort, but that was that, a hunch. She hasn't tried clarifying things with Eireen yet. But from the looks of it, Eireen wasn't willing to talk.
"Why didn't you come to me when you woke up?" Scarlet asked. She had expected to see Eireen by her side the moment she gained her consciousness, but she didn't. Scarlet couldn't help but wonder if Eireen was intentionally avoiding her. Moreover, Eireen's discomfort and tension were evident in her expression and body language.
