"By the way, I really thought you wouldn't visit me tonight," Scarlet said after a long silence had fallen between them.
The room was quiet and the atmosphere was warm even though a cold breeze was blowing from the opened windows.
Ishid glanced at Scarlet, his gaze fixated on her attractive yet delicate face while wearing a gentle expression on his face. "Why did you think I wouldn't want to see you?" he asked.
The moonlight illuminated their beautiful figures as they sat close to each other on the couch. The once emotionless expression on Jasper's face turned very serious.
This wasn't just a casual conversation for him, this was important.
Scarlet opened her mouth and was about to respond when Ishid cut her off, his voice filled with alarm and concern.
"Did I do something to upset you?"
Alarmed by his sudden misunderstanding, Scarlet held Ishid by his shoulders and shook her head. "No, no. You didn't do anything wrong."
