Chapter 19 - Nineteen: Memories Of Summer

The minute summer started in Blubridge, Charlie had pretty much left Gastonburry behind her. Her heart swelled in the warm summer breeze, she cling to that blue eyed boy, skin to skin, mouth to mouth, hand in hand, falling head over heels with each other like nothing else mattered. His thick red lips was driving her crazy, she just couldn't resist not kissing him all the time.

And he was dying of insecurities, knowing how deep he had fallen in love with her without a single thread of confidence that he was worthy of her love. He never knew love the way he known it with Charlie, he never had anyone that could make him feel so happy just to be around them. He didn't have much to give her, but he would give her everything he's got.

He took her out on a picnic in his old beat up pick up truck. Under the Bluebridge sky, waiting for the sun to set. Out in the field, far from anyone and laid out picnic blankets on the back. They laid there and talk, eat sandwiches, drank beer. Just enjoying the breeze, half naked under the sun, sweating and getting their skin tanned.

At night, they gather with friends by the bonfire, goofing around, sharing crazy stories that Charlie loved so much, sometimes scary stories about the woods and what lurks in the night. Tommy spent almost all his earnings to take her to movies that made her quiver every time she talked about them, he loved watching her talk about the things she loved. He was eager to go back to work and make more money so he can take her places and possibly have a decent future for the both of them. At the same time, he was terrified to leave her to go back to her life without him.

They went swimming at the lake when the day gets too hot, just the two of them. That was how Charlie liked it, she said it felt like the whole world belonged to them.

"I love you ... have I told you that already?" she asked him in the lake.

"Not nearly enough ... tell me again," he said.

"I love you," she giggled as she made her way toward the bottom of the cliff, her favorite hiding spot where no one can see them.

She had her back on the rocks, he came up really close to her, almost pressing her against the rocks. He took on her lips with his mouth, stared deep into her eyes, "I love you, Charlie ... there are no words to describe how much I love you."

She smiled, "Try," she teased him. She rubbed his ear.

He pulled her against him, "Tell me about Landon."

"What?? Where did that come from?" his request took her by surprise.

"I don't know how you stayed so cool when I told you about other girls ... it burns me just to hear you say his name, but it drives me wild ... it's a funny feeling, I've never had that before with anyone," his eyes darkened, he was turned on just by thinking about it. He rubbed his nose to hers, "Tell me about him, ... I want to see what it does to me," their lips were almost touching. She felt his breathing was getting deeper and heavier.

"If I tell you ... will you be using it against me?" she wanted to make sure he can handle his own game. He shook his head, his eyes were getting hazy with lust.

"What do you want to know?" she was playing his game.

"Anything ... just try me."

She smiled wickedly, took a deep breath, "He's smart, and cocky, over confident," she began. He was listening intently while looking at her moving lips. "He thinks I'm pretty ... and asked me if I'm seeing anyone."

He moved his face around hers, his hands at the small of her back, "Is that why you told him about me?"

She nodded, "He was really forward about his feelings, Tommy, I didn't like the way he kept coming on to me." His heart was pounding hard and a bit faster.

"He took me to a party, and I got drunk." He closed his eyes and buried his face in her hair, she had never been drunk with him, to know that she was drunk with another guy was pushing him on an edge. He picked her up and pushed her against the rocks, her legs were spreading to hug him.

"I have to tell you something, Tommy," his heart almost stopped when she whispered that in his ear, his mind was running like crazy, imagining what it was like when she was with him. "He tried to kiss me," she was studying him as she said it, she was afraid that his lust would turn to anger, she could almost feel him burning. He grazed his teeth on her shoulder, his eyes was dark with jealousy but he didn't say a single word.

His mouth was running wild towards her breasts, he was losing it. His hands were gripping her hard, they almost hurt her, she ran her fingers through his hair. He was tightly wrapped around her, she could hardly breathe. "Hey ... hey ..." she calmed him gently, "Say something to me," she was starting to worry.

He pulled back to look at her, he shook his head. "Tell me what you're feeling," she was concerned. He drew a long breath, his jaw clenched, he shook his head. He was vulnerable, she was seeing a different side of him, he loosened his grip, he didn't realize he was holding her too tightly.

She stroke his cheek, she felt so much for him, "I pushed him away," she knew she had to bring him back. "I love you, Tommy," she convinced him. His eyes were less tensed as if she had broken a chain that was looped around his neck before. He charged against her with a deep kiss, she felt him hard between her legs, he swiftly ripped her panty and before she even knew it, he was inside her.

But he was a different Tommy, he was withdrawn, he kept his feelings to himself, deep and dark. When he made love to her in the lake, where his brother had drowned, he was overpowering her with fierceness. She gave in to his demands, he was her weakness as she was his. Whatever he needed from her, she gave it to him willingly.
