Chapter 56 - Samsara Mind part 2

Closing his eyes, Ace started to comprehend the Samsara Mind mental energy cultivation technique which was in his head.

The Samsara Mind was broken down into six stages. The six stages corresponded with the six major realms of mental energy known to all cultivators.

The first realm of Seed energy. The second realm of Origin energy. The third realm of Universal energy. The fourth realm of Phantom energy. The fifth realm of Shattered energy. Lastly was the sixth realm that only exists in the legends, the Reformed energy..

If Ace manages to fully comprehend the first stage of the Samsara mind, then he would have officially stepped into the Seed energy mental realm, standing at the peak of that realm from the moment he obtains its power.

The unique ability of the first stage of the Samsara mind, was its ability to grant him vision which shouldn't be possible. The ability to see through all illusions below the Shattered energy mental realm, Not only that, he would also be able to control a flying sword invisible to others with mental energy weaker than his,

But the requirements were harsh as well, the control and speed he needed to have over his own mental energy was far above demanding. It was impossible to begin with, but compared to its overall value in the end, the price and effort to pay wasn't worth mentioning at all.

Closing his eyes, Ace decided to test the limits of his current mental energy. In the first stage, there would be hundred circles that would be shrinking in size with each circle that he passes through, not only that, he only had a hundred seconds to control his mental energy in the form of a sword to pass through all hundred circles.

With a single thought, the sword gained height and started to advance forward after ten seconds, at the pace of a snail as Ace took another five seconds to find the proper angle to pass through the first circle.

In the end, hundred seconds was only enough for him to pass through the first six circles.

It seems that I was being too complacent, maybe this is a good reminder to me. I should never get overconfident of myself or I'll be bound to suffer in the future.

What Ace doesn't know is that in the future, there are some things he isn't able to change. Even if he can, the price to…

Taking a few minutes so that the throbbing pain in his head would go away, Ace got into a resting position, closed his eyes and once again, his mind was visualizing the hundred circles.

With a single thought, he formed the same sword, taking about nine and a half seconds, he managed to raise the sword in the air and glide it through seven circles this time, but in exchange, the pain this time was far worse.

It wasn't because the Samsara mind was out to hurt him after every session, but because his mental energy was still way too weak to be gaining strength. The seed was doing its best to absorb the mental energy, but such pure energy can only be obtained through the seed being broken and patched up.

That was the pain Ace was experiencing currently. Beads of sweat flowed down his face, but he didn't allow this setback to get to him.

After about ten minutes or so, he repeated the process again and again, by the time he opened his eyes again, it was already afternoon.

"To think that I actually survived the night and morning cultivating the Samsara Mind." Ace mumbled to himself as he washed his face, changed into a new set of clothing before leaving the guest room.

It still hurts though. Ace thought to himself as the throbbing pain made him fully awake. Knowing that it wasn't possible to continue with his mental energy cultivation technique today, he started digesting his progress from yesterday.

Before he lost consciousness from the grueling training session, he was able to pass through sixteen circles with the flying sword in his mind. But that wasn't enough to get him all excited, because the further he progressed, the tougher it was to make another significant progress.

But it was still enough for now, in just around one night, he managed to fully awaken the first blood pool and fill up the second blood pool slightly.

Now, all he could do was get himself into his best condition before the sword tower event.

If given enough time, he might even be able to awaken the second blood pool right before the sword tower event.

The Samsara Mind wasn't just a mental energy cultivation technique, it was also one which allows the cultivator to focus for a longer period of time during battles.

Not just focusing, but getting into a state where the cultivator can catch each and every trace of the opponent regardless of how fast they are, even if there's a limit to it, the Samsara eyes he awakens one day will soon prove its worth.

But, all this comes at a price...Samsara being known as the cycles of life, lacks exactly a…

"Ace, how have you been over the past week? Did that old fogey pick on you?" Seeing Serena who had approached him, Ace couldn't help but laugh at the term old fogey.

"Haven't you seen him yet? He's already a middle aged man now."

"Are you serious?" Serena reacted with disbelief written all over her face.

"Yes, can you tell me his true identity now?"

In the end, Serena could only give up on the notion of trying to charm Ace, instead of thinking that Ace was just being truthful to his heart, she was beginning to wonder if she wasn't charming enough as a sixteen year old woman.

If others were to hear of this, the men would definitely be trying to praise her to the skies while the other women would be jealous of her beauty.

She might not have the cold aura that Charlotte has towards others, neither does she have the mature charm of a woman like Clarissa. But she had her unique side of beauty, she was a simple woman who doesn't ask for much, she was just too ordinary for a genius cultivator from a major family.

Serena pouted her cheeks for a moment, but seeing that Ace was ignoring her, she changed her mind and tried to jab him from the side,

"What are you doing?" Ace questioned in a cheeky gaze as he grabbed her wrist and rendered her unable to move.

"Tell me who he is and I'll let you go." Ace pushed further, expecting this plan to work, only for it to backfire,

"Release me right now or I'll tell my father that you bullied me! If that isn't enough, I'll tell him that you tried to…"

Using his hand to cover her mouth before she could say anything else, Ace could only sigh and release her.

"Young fellow, are you trying to make my lovely daughter fall in love with you?" Brimstone who has already been watching them fooling around for some time walked out with the middle aged man besides him.

"Ace, if it's my identity that you want to know of, then I can share it with you. I'm the Faction master of the Blood Faction that dominates the oceans, in terms of overall strength and reputation, even the Astral Court and Judgement Court might not be able to compare to my faction."

Ace was shocked, but didnt overreact as he reacted calmly.

"I understand, since that's the case, I hope that we can form an alliance." Ace suggested as the situation progressed as he wanted.

If the Blood Faction Master was just a wandering cultivator, then he would have earned himself an ally. But since the Blood Faction Master was the leader of thousands and hundreds, then he would make use of their relationship to form an alliance between the Blood Faction and the developing Nirvana sect.

"An alliance? Aren't you just a wandering cultivator that somehow entered the divine realm?" The Blood Faction Master asked, only to see shock in Ace's eyes for the first time.

"I'm in the Divine realm for real?" After calming down, Ace then explained, "I'm from another cultivation world whereby the Holy Land and the Four Domains are the peak."

"I see...to think that such a young genius like you actually came from that place. The alliance partner you're suggesting, is it your own force in the other cultivation world?" The Blood Faction Master asked as Brimstone stepped back with Serena, giving them ample space to hold their conversation.

"Yes, but I can assure you that my sect in the lower realm will ascend to the Divine realm within six years or even five years' time. At that time, I hope that we can form an alliance and declare it to the entire Divine realm. Don't worry, everyone in my sect has potential that will amaze the whole world."

"Hahaha! Very well, I take this offer of yours. But this wasn't the reason I'm here right now, believe it or not, the sword tower event has been shifted forward and will be held today due to unknown circumstances."
